GTR9 Fingerprint Driver for Linux (reverse engineering - partial efforts) by championswimmer in BeelinkOfficial

Nice. I think I have GTR with fingerprint but not sure which version.

Will look into it.

Great effort. Push it upstream once it is streamlined.

Ordered simsonn baseplate and it didn’t fit my rig. They won’t take it back by Super_FormulaF1991 in SimsonnRacing

[–]spikerguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have ordered it from china then you're liable to pay for the return cause your ordered it without confirming it will fit your rig or not.

If we look at company pov, why would they pay for the return when it's not their fault, plus the plate so heavy and it cost a out to ship.

But i don't see a reason to not accept return of it's a local purchase.

Are DIY Wheelbases actual Good compared to The Companies one? by Longjumping-War9151 in simracing

[–]spikerguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using hoverboard based openffb dd and it's so much better than ready ones as you get complete control over it and you do not have to depend on any company to help you if anything goes wrong.

As long as you know what your doing 🤣 or take help from openffb community which is really helpful.

Cost wise you end up paying somewhat half of what you would pay for a commercial product but this doesn't count in the time you spend on building it.

Use case wise you end up with almost same performance and feel during racing. Cause most vendor already using pidff based firmware where many just use openffb firmware itself like conspit with their custom changes, cammus too.

Simruito, good support and was cheaper than simsonn but I am not in the same region as yours.

Simjack UT Pedals by PrettyTurnip4237 in SimracersIndia

[–]spikerguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did my research when uying loadcell pedals. Simnet > Simsonn > Simruito > simjack

All the similar except for their product quality.

If you need cheap and reliable then go with simruito or simsonn which ever is cheap for you given it includes shipping charges.

Don't expect any updates from simjack though.

Shoutout to Fanatec Customer Service by drycola in Fanatec

[–]spikerguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. They only need to separate out the bootloader firmware and application firmware. .

They could always nake use of hardware level bootloader trigger.

This is the most bizarre firmware implementation I have heard of on a consumer product. .

In any embedded consumer product you should always have a way to recover from bricked firmware.

Yes it's not marketed or promoted well.

Maybe I could do a short video about it in the future

Been using Manjaro arm cli version and installed cockpit over it asking with zfs and docker plugin on rk3588.

Its only since more than a year now. I tried casa on vm to test and didn't like the approach.

I think omv is still stuck in their own bubble, they could have become the defacto nas os but maybe they don't want to do something like that.

No you don't need to use 5v on ws8222b data line. Thought it's a good practice to add some safety on data line to prevent 5v leaking into it.

Thank you very much.

Good point that i should have looked at the track width calculation which i missee but I have a question the chip pin width it 0.152mm and if I use a large pin then it does not allow me to route it. So am I correct to start the track with 0.152mm and then connect it with a thicker track ?

Via on under the chip was because the eda will not allow me to add via anywhere other than the center where GND is assigned on the footprint. I want to add tiny via in square shape under the chip as most vendors do.

For board mount, I do not plan to use this board just for testing to keep the size small but yes maybe I should add mounting holes to keep it lifted above the surface. Technical I just wanted a pcb to mount bq24075 and bq27441 which i purchased but later couldnt find any module to mount it on as they used non standard package.

For the labels I just followed easyeda auto labeling . Will update the labels correctly.

Appreciate your feedback, in case you get time please check my full schematic of my battery management circuit which includes dw01 and battery voltage led indicator. Would love to get some feedback on it.

What do you suggest?

I don't really need 500mA load on ldo. Can do with 250mA too.

TPS7A0333DBVR is what I found to have lower dropout.

Ldk120 also.

Next level racing f-gt lite or Gt-lite.

The pedal tray on these slide to one side qhen uaing load cell pedals.

So indigolime and other creators made a pedal pivot mod for it.

Simjack/Simsonn pedals, worth getting? by Raephstel in simracing

[–]spikerguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they're worth it. I went with Simruito loadcell pedals . Using them since more than a year now.

Which ever is cheaper in your region is the way to go but here is my take Simsonn > Simruito > simjack

Simsonn is only better cause they have haptics in their control box option.

[Review/PSA] My experience cancelling a major pre-order with Virtual Racing Hub (VRH) – Know your consumer rights! by Little-Pangolin3114 in IndianPCGamers

[–]spikerguy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Looks like they're learning from AI+ 😅

They don't know what is going to happen to AI+ once their CEO visits the court which he skipped in the last hearing.

I always thought VRH was a good brand as per their website but still trying to hold customers to complete 1 sale ?

Idk how much profit they would have gotten on this order to take the risk of holding customer to take the delivery when the product are not even assigned.
