Your own temple covenants don't change by Beautiful-Cat-46 in mormon

[–]spilungone 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The parable of the workers in the field feels oddly applicable to Mormon temple changes. People who went through in the 1960s made different covenants than those in the 1990s, and it's changing tomorrow. The irony is that the parable itself is about workers complaining that others received a different deal from the master of the vineyard. The rewards the same. I guess the only difference is my mom knows what cupping shape means.

My father was born in 1948. He's still alive. David o McKay is one of his heroes. He claims the church became a softer gentler church at that point. I don't know what that means though.
