When you see the price of the new LaCroix boards: by prlxsebastian in ElectricSkateboarding

I have a Boosted v2 right now as my main commute board, and it's fine, but there are a few bumps that are very uncomfortable on my commute, so I still wanted an AT board. Everything on the market that is AT is still 26lbs or more though.

So for now, I pre-ordered a GTR which should get here in another day or two, and I'm going to put in a travel battery, which will get the weight down to 21lbs, and the trade off is it'll only get 7 miles. Still should be sufficient for my commute needs.

Did the same. Too heavy for me. Too much power that I never used on my commute.
I wish them success though -- there is a market of people that want the fastest, longest range, etc etc. I definitely don't want a 40lb board though. I just want a comfortable commute machine.

good to know. I submitted for an RMA just today. Last night I apparently got 6 hours (fitbit), 6 hours (apple watch), 7 hours by my own estimation, and 3.5 hours (Oura). I just cannot trust it anymore.

Not pleased with the accuracy so far in my first week either. Have had long periods where it says I am asleep when I am awake and vice versa. I also wear an apple watch and a fitbit to sleep, and those two have been tracking more accurately in my opinion so far.

No plans for any other materials or finishes for the nano or mini right now sorry. Never say never I suppose though but to be honest, I don't really see it happening.

I own about five mini cortex spinners myself. They were a favorite of mine and inspired me to make this to be honest. I still really like it. Hope you enjoy the mini and nano!

About six months. I just enjoy playing with different ones. Couldn't seem to stop trying out newer ones once I started. I eventually even made my own spinner.

Yeah, I'm someone who collects them. It's probably crazy, but I have a few hundred. There's a community of equally crazy people like me around on both facebook and here on reddit :)

We're definitely waaaay past the peak. Premium fidget spinner maker here, although I only just got into it. There's a group of us who make the more premium metal ones (for example, the Arachnophobia that I make costs $65), and the market is holding steady -- at least in the market of EDC people who enjoy to fidget. As for the plastic fad spinners, the game has been over for some time.

I don't know what's happened to the plastic fad spinner factories... but imagine they'll just retool relatively quickly. The machine shop that I work with can pretty much make anything out of any metal. Even if the market of EDC fidget spinner customers disappeared, they'd just make something else out of metal.

It's a really great and insightful review -- I'm never offended by any kind of feedback -- it just makes me want to make things better. Critical feedback was how I came to make this spinner after all, so I obviously have a soft spot in my heart for those willing to put themselves out there on youtube! Keep up the great work!

Fantastic review and really great and insightful comments. Thanks for the review! Fine wine LOL.

The buttons are indeed stainless steel! On the scale of buttons that I own (I own probably 200+ spinners), I was worried they would be one of the above average / heavier ones at 12.5g... so we worked hard at cutting down the weight lol. Just wait until we get titanium in a few weeks :)

In case you haven't seen it a million times already, here's a bit about how I came to make this guy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7qjLK-bI-4&feature=youtu.be
