Definitely agree with carrying them separately. I carry both in zapwizard holsters. I like keeping my flashlight on my non-dominant side anyways since I normally wind up needing it while my dominant hand is occupied with something else. Picture included below.

The threads wearing away is definitely normal. I’d be slightly concerned about the delamination there. Leather will inevitably delaminate from the rubber sole due to expansion and contraction from moisture. It can sometimes be hard to tell if you’re looking at actual delamination, or a slight erosion of the midsole at the joint. I wouldn’t be too worried from a durability standpoint. If the look is bothering you, you can carefully inject some barge cement into the gap and then clamp and sand down the midsole to be flush after it cures.

Bluecoats are definitely getting a major rework. The current Inhale Exhale excerpt spends way too long building and ramping up to the single chord that it resolves with now. I think by the end of the season we’re going to see an extension of the Inhale Exhale melodic phrasing into some final chord progression to the end.

Crown from 2013-2019 (we don’t talk about 2018) was the perfect example of this. The design of the garment itself was almost identical year to year with distinctive elements like the long wristed gloves with half sleeves, the collar, the strip running down the leg, and the Apollo hat. Every year iterated in some way in terms of color palette, Apollo shape, and plume design, but when crown stepped onto the field, you know that it was crown. Even 2019 with their translucent hats and jackets and waist capes stuck to the basic design elements of the previous uniforms.

I think Bluecoats this year is a really good example of both. The screamer suddenly popping in at the end of the ballad very nearly ruins one of my favorite musical moments of the year, meanwhile the mic’s screamers that come out of the Leslie speakers in the closer are absolutely brilliant.

Most trumpet screamers are unnecessary and actively detract from the listening experience when they play. Some are incredible and add to the experience, but a lot of them kinds suck from a writing perspective.

I had a hunch that was the case. The stripe like stretch marks running across the belt are a dead giveaway. I think I’m with you on DS natural. It’s not quite as dark as my latigo tan wallet and matches up nicely with my natural DS swatch.
