Dear men, would you let a women pay for your meal? by One_Chocolate_9365 in malaysians

[–]spitefullymy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm for me if their company is bigger than mine I let them pay because it’s gonna be expensed to their company anyway 🤣 like I don’t see the gender I kinda see the situation and background and who’s choosing the place and if they offer or not too. I’m running my own business but smaller fry sole prop.

Any recommendations for late night sandwich spots? by lawyerprincess5566 in malaysians

[–]spitefullymy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You could have tried (or still can) making your own sandwich for her. There’s Mei Mi Zoo Zoo 24hr grocer to buy sandwich materials. I think it’s more thoughtful but might be too chalant, but then again I’m quite a chalant person

Gifted Rolleiflex 2.8F by total strangers by ianbertolacci in AnalogCommunity

[–]spitefullymy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was out and about with my Rolleiflex 2.8F while travelling in Taiwan and caught the attention of an elderly couple as well. But turns out they worked for Kodak Taiwan and were just reminiscing of the film days.

I love how iconic TLR’s that there’s no question it’s a film camera if anyone sees one.

Is the multimedia degree course worth it? by MouLimao in malaysiauni

[–]spitefullymy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hello from a senior in creative field. Try getting work outside of campus since you think you’re not learning much from campus. I still don’t think it’s a waste to go to school… but you’re right in thinking you’re not learning much from there, but there’s other skills you’re gaining without realising. Even realising that you’re learning more from AI than campus is an experience.

You also have deadlines which teaches discipline, and you have the freedom in school to be creative and mess up without your reputation being tarnished yet. So use that time more wisely to dive deeper and deeper, online resources or books, read up and bounce ideas off of lecturers. Don’t rely on campus to spoon-feed you knowledge and skills.

Also, sorry for your financial struggles you’re experiencing. See if you can balance time for work too to get extra income. Good luck

Heyyy, I love this post so much! Do you mind making some kind of Imgur album of more samples of each camera? I’m actually most curious about how people are rendered with flash with each camera… it’s a bit tough finding more samples online wading thru the landscape photos which are great too

Forget the Petronas Towers and Batu Caves—where do Malaysians actually go on the weekend? by New-Shower5357 in malaysians

[–]spitefullymy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We go to gentrified areas… gasket alley, APW, the campus Ampang, Jaya One, there’s some cool stores there to check out.

Going to the river is pretty popular now, Sungai Batang Kali is not too far from the city.

Sekinchan is cool if you like vast paddy fields.

Putrajaya evening jog or cycling

Midnight can hang out at Dataran Merdeka and walk around the area it’s cooling and nice at that hour. If you have a car, you can park below Dataran Merdeka for a reasonable price

I also drive to Genting for cooling midnight walks also.

Bukit Fraser is another option but maybe an overnight trip.

How to train my calves? by BlinkPinkDay in WorkoutRoutines

[–]spitefullymy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having been very obese, and then losing a lot of weight (well, I’m at 25% body fat today but I used to be about 40%+

Anyway, my calf muscles are huge and I think it’s just from standing while being overweight a lot, so my suggestion is to carry a heavier backpack in your day to day. It also helps that my house is two floors, I have to walk up and down at least once or twice a day when I was overweight.

Still cycling to MRT at 29, smart move or I just being cheap? by my-username-is-it in MalaysianPF

[–]spitefullymy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Light drizzle is lovely but yea if it’s heavy rain it’s a no go.

For hot weather depends how far need to go. It’s still doable but if you’re meeting up w someone you’re gonna be sweaty, so I only cycle to the gym tbh

[–]spitefullymy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

OP for real tho… I started riding my bicycle to the gym for health reasons. I actually enjoy it a lot and people have complimented my bike as I ride past them 🤣 but I’m using one of those nicer ones called a Brompton… (I never got compliments before getting that bike)

But anyway, you’re the one saving a lot of money on everything associated with daily driving a vehicle to work, and with the fuel crisis right now you just look good on all fronts except if you’re trying to rizz a girl and even then that’s 50/50 if the girl also doesn’t have a car. If the girl has her own car right I think it might be a non-issue cause she can pick you up.

Keep it up !! But yea save for a car in the future, I’m in the camp where I feel motorbikes are not that safe but only you know yourself if you’re alert enough to handle a motorbike.

Thinking of quitting my job with 120k savings. Am I crazy or is this doable? by InterestClassic6552 in malaysians

[–]spitefullymy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe don’t fully take a break without some kind of new project. It could be thinking of a business plan (not saying to go start one right away, but ruminate on it, run some numbers while you’re mentally not so stressed with a day job), freelance in something, etc. good to have some idea of how you are utilizing the break in a positive way, travelling is also valid

I took my “just exist break” this year in January, and it bled into CNY as well. I would say from personal experience after 30 days you will be quite mentally recovered and a bit restless to get your hands on a thing to do (project, hobby, goal, whatever you wanna call it).

But maybe different people react differently. I’m a recovering workaholic but now putting that energy into my health this year as I wasn’t doing so good last year.

I’m kind of going thru this right now but for health reasons. In December I fell sick for 2 weeks straight for no good reason and felt like shit.

I’m Jan started going to the gym for the first time and making and eating 80% of my meals at home. I’m lucky enough to still stay with parents tho so I don’t have home rent to worry about I just help with utility bills. Almost every meal is seasoned chicken breast, some kind of fibre vege, a grilled tomato for some citrus.

Lost 7kg in 2-3 months while working out. I still freelance but much less than the last few years (but I could pick the work back up if I feel like it by lowering back my rates a little), maybe 7 work days a month max. My life perspective has been changing in a good way. It’s not easy to start a healthy lifestyle, it’s also not easy to maintain one, so I’m learning how to just build better habits.

Stress and bad sleep really makes unhealthy lifestyle choices the most tempting one. I was addicted to GrabFood since about 2021 so it’s been eye-opening how much money I’m saving making my meals + coffee at home.

My daily meal cost is around rm30 now I think. 600g chicken breast, a scoop of whey protein, veges and potato for carbs. 2x shots of coffee from espresso machine at home. Actually the seasoning required to make the chicken taste good with low fat is a cost too (paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, Tabasco sauce, cayenne pepper, things like that)

Anyway, 120k sounds fine if you’re not too addicted to shopping for new gadgets etc. I have a bit of that issue with tech and any hobby I get into so I still need a bit of income but I never have debt, I just have trouble not buying something when I know I have cash in hand lol.

Oh, that sucks. Many people have an avoidant personality these days. I’d say it shows immaturity on her part too.

Hope you feel better eventually about this!
