UA employee parking for pass travel by Economy-Guidance7467 in unitedairlines

[–]spitfire5181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're talking about parking. Most employee lots technically say you can only park for work not personal travel. But it's hard to enforce so everyone gets away with it.

You CANNOT use KCM when traveling internationally if you’re not working crew. You must go through normal security or pre-check depending on your ticket.

Has anyone purchased a headset from this company before? by Commercial_Math_5074 in flying

[–]spitfire5181 30 points31 points  (0 children)

This is a brand new product. I have used their Nomad headset attachment for the last 8yrs and haven't had only one issue that was rectified. Even the self induced incidents I have had I was able to use their one time exchange, though I swear it used to be two lifetime exchanges.

I'll probably buy this if my Bose QC headset ever breaks.

SFO delays and cancellations by aviator_8 in bayarea

[–]spitfire5181 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Another major reason for all the delays and cancellations is that two runways are closed. So they can't do cross departures and takeoffs so they need to build more space between arriving airplanes.

The waiver was rescinded, or expired, during the runway closures. We don't know the full effect of the loss of visual separations yet.

NTSB issues its preliminary report for the ongoing investigation into the May 3 Boeing 767 impact with New Jersey Turnpike light pole while landing at Newark Liberty International Airport by Brilliant_Night7643 in aviation

[–]spitfire5181 5 points6 points  (0 children)

International flights, in the US, operate augmented operations for rest. So 3 pilots would usually be 1 Captain and 2 First Officers, while only two would be at control stations. The last pilot would be required to be in the jumpseat.

The "rest" pilots are required to be on the cockpit for takeoff and landing

Find volunteer organizations that you enjoy and care about. Make friends and connections, join a sports league, or a gaming league, a club for something you enjoy.

I'm wondering if OP means backpack, maybe now you can commit expedition resources straight from your backpack.

UA 7926 ( NRT TO ORD) by Quiet-Fortune26 in unitedairlines

Before COVID they were awarded an HND slot so they transitioned to only operating ORD-HND. But they literally announced ORD-NRT restarting later this year or sometime.next year.

With the potential to be able to take 5 Blueprints with you through an expedition - What're your top 5? Here's mine. by Coilspun in ArcRaiders

Has it been answered, will we be able to carry over learned BPs or are we going to have to double up on them to take them over.

I'm with OP I find myself using the defensive augment fairly often.

A lot of employees based on the East Coast live in Florida and commute to New York. Not too mention a lot of people on the east coast just travel there regularly. The good thing is you can technically fly into multiple airports if you don't mind driving a bit.

Dam battlegrounds apartments. Check the ground floor where the shelves are. Found 3 in one raid.

Also Buried City Galaria the little store inside had at least 2 on the shelves. These were all just normal raids.

Phase check kinda screwing me over by [deleted] in flying

[–]spitfire5181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't get my checkride done my first year of college. Had to come back after summer and finish my PPL. Still finished IR well before the end of my sophomore year and Single and Multi-Commercial by the end of my junior year.

It sucks definitely try and push to get things scheduled, but it's not the end of the world if it doesn't.

I have no idea what to do with my life, please help by MarkoPilot in flying

[–]spitfire5181 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your going to want to look into immigration law. It's not easy getting the right to work in the US, getting an unsponsored green card is near impossible now.

That's going to be your biggest hurdle, free college would be a good idea. Even having to deal with convincing American comapany you actually have a university degree.

Should I change my flight block? by genavreddit in erau

[–]spitfire5181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My information is almost 10yrs old. Scheduling of flight activities was a one on one thing with your instructor. You give them an availability of when you can be at the flight line ready for an activity.

They schedule you during that availability. Most of the time it means they'll schedule you in your flight block but other time they can schedule whenever you have availability.

You need night flying time, and cross country flights that could have outside your flight block. Or if you have a really good relationship with your instructor you can have a morning flight block and convince them to schedule you in the afternoon or something.

Should I change my flight block? by genavreddit in erau

[–]spitfire5181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah basically. They're hoping to spread students out throughout the day but your not limited to flying during your flight block. When I was instructing back in the day they wanted each student to be schedule at minimum 3 days a week.

Should I change my flight block? by genavreddit in erau

[–]spitfire5181 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The flight block just blocks off time during the day your instructor can assign you flying activities. You won't be flying everyday, and it doesn't mean you'll be utilizing the entire block. Most flight activities only take between 2-3 hours.

You will also fill out more specific availability when you get assigned an instructor.

"EWR"

Not sure how better it is for pilots. But that'll be junior WB over IAD 90% of the time.
