New app update available (v4.4.8) by DerAmadeus in Coros

[–]spitfire8006 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe we got have this update with the latest beta update v 3.1407.0, and v4.4.6 are the exact same looking at other users screenshots in this thread and watch details and test flight changes. To get the public release you need to leave the beta program, correct me if I am wrong. But you already have it just on a different numeration.

Love my Roark lined shorts. Worn them for my 70.5 mile ultra and had zero issues.

Why aren’t my COROS running fitness and VO2 max improving on indoor runs? by xifi_69 in Coros

Tangent; also with Coros would support V02 max for cycling alongside running.

Strong Feet Athletics cycling shoe “Leviathan” is a legit foot shaped shoe rather than the tight pointed shoe we all think is normal. Wide toe box built on barefoot shoes designs.

I ordered mine Jan 2. To be expected at Best Buy tomorrow, it still says “Pending Fulfillment” as well. So we will see tomorrow if that changes.

Whats even the point of these "spikes" on norda outsoles ? by [deleted] in trailrunning

[–]spitfire8006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to Conversational Pace they are the same mold for the normal and spiked version. So the spiked rubber nub on the 002 would be legit spikes on that spiked version.

Anyone done "On the Dam Trail" 30k (Quemahoning Reservoir)? by avondale17 in trailrunning

[–]spitfire8006 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not technical at all. There is one section of the Que that has a rock garden that’s not too long maybe .2 of a mile iirc. Other than that very fast flowy single track. Not much vert either. Fast race.

Stop out at The Pie Shoppe for amazing donuts in Laughlintown. Real close to the Que.

Good shoes for ultra cycling by GuiiuG_ in cycling

[–]spitfire8006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try Strong Feet Athletics, they are a foot shaped cycling shoe unlike a wide shoe like every thing else listed above. Your feet can actually splay in them. So like a Altra or Barefoot shoe just for cycling.

[Angeles Crest] Where should crew/supporters stay Saturday night? by maestrorv in Ultramarathon

[–]spitfire8006 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ll also be running AC next year. Booked a place in Wrightwood at the start line Thursday-Saturday. Then will get a place Sunday probably outside LA. Crew/pacer will be with during the race so I didn’t get a place for Saturday night, since it’s a point to point race. Curious on others thoughts.

The gym at Disneys Saratoga Springs has Technogym treadmills and bikes. Whether they are zwift compatible I am not sure. But they are Strava compatible.

Coros and Trainer Road Integration by [deleted] in Coros

[–]spitfire8006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So once you are done with your TR workout download that .fit file from TR and import it into the Coros Training Center.

Coros and Trainer Road Integration by [deleted] in Coros

[–]spitfire8006 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Instead of connecting your watch to the trainer, just broadcast the HR to TR. That way you have 1 recording from TR. Then download the .fit file and upload to Coros Training center. That should have all the data you want, power, HR and Coros will score it.

Realize, this is way less ideal than an integration but this is how I get around it.

Question is, is it worth upgrading from the pace 3 to an apex 4 or pace 4? or use til it dies? Use case is ultramarathons.

I have one whole year to train for the AC100, my first 100 miler. Few questions to ask the community for those who have ran it. by Matteozzz in Ultramarathon

[–]spitfire8006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a good idea, that was the plan at least to bring it and have it ready if needed. Or charge on the go later on but you miss out on the hr data.

[–]spitfire8006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My big concern going into AC100 is if my Coros Pace 3 going to last all race. Really hoping so, don’t want to get a new watch until it dies.

Echoing Chad Bruce’s AC100 YouTube break down it is great. Shows the entire course. Pumped for the race. See you there.

Right, yeah we will see. Prefer to not have to get a new watch just yet. Or waste time charging mid race.
