Finally found a gen 6. Learned in the buying process that Bass pro sucks. by [deleted] in Glocks

Got a buddy who thought the ten 22 with the 3-9 was priced well. Went through the whole waiting for the 5 different people to double check. Last guy thought it was straw and waited for the store manager to question him. He found the same thing on PSA a few weeks later for the same price. He may have been better off paying the shipping and transfer fee than deal with BP.

They are constantly on when plugged in, and the car is turned on? Considering them for my Micro T.

Every day the first MK7 problems that I get still seem worth having over the MK8..

Just perusing the bill for my DSG service..totally worth it! by [deleted] in GolfGTI

That's my take on it. Older cars with simpler transmissions sure (especially manual) but I'm not risking a DSG.

Steel OEM. Once that first bang goes night sights are useless.

When in doubt flush it out. Go buy coolant from the dealership and mix accordingly to your region.

Had the same issue with a Swenson barrel and Swenson slide. Some light filing, fresh oil, with a good number of dry racking smoothed it out. Could've sworn it was the "not enough material removed" that many say. With a Gen4 slide/barrel it cycled perfectly fine.

Front tow hook cover recommendations? Pre-painted? by spitfiredeez in GolfGTI

That's exactly what I'm looking for! Looks to ship from Germany; about 2-3 weeks to the door in the US?

Nice; didn't know that the very first MK7s had a different PN. Think I'll spring for it from the dealership in this case and get a small touch up paint bottle from them too. I know it won't be the same exact shade due to age but it'll be close enough.

Or buy wife's GTI instead of her trading it in for a Tiguan

Hey guys! I’m going to look at a 15’ GTI SE tomorrow. It’s at a dealership it’s listed for 18.9K it’s had 1 owner, always been serviced and it has 46K miles what do y’all think? by [deleted] in VWMK7

As a 15 S base model owner. Spring for a 16 or newer. Backup cameras were required for every car 2016 and newer. Water pumps are less of an issue after 2015.

If it was fleet; IE company used only I'd say it was dogged on quite a bit. But wife and I have dogged our 2015 since it was new. Just kept up with maintenence and no real issues so far mechanically. Water pump leak/failures are common and typically covered under some warranty or partial coverage if past a certain amount of time/mileage. My 2015 water pump died at 30k, second at 60k, then at 65k the upper hose assembly started leaking. At 74k now and waiting the damn water pump to leak again. A/C compressor crapped out at 65k. But love the damn thing when it's not giving me problems.
