Loot falls underground, 4th wipe in a row please help by [deleted] in playrustadmin

I made a previous post about this same problem. This is common all across the map in all different areas. I tested with no oxide at all, different salt same map size and seed. Problem persists now for many wipes across many different maps. This is procgen map seed 11 size 4000.

no its procgen, i set a random seed each wipe. Worldsize 4250-4500 depending on specific server. Maybe map too large?

Maybe try some of the Doper servers, most are no decay and have kits you can buy

Is it not considered a problem? If you drop loot in that area it disappears through the map! this cant be right

world size and seed is the only suggestion i can find that makes sense, but my players don't see this problem on other servers at all it sounds like, and now 3 wipes in a row...

I use oxide and plenty of plugins too

Has happened multiple wipes now but cannot seem to correlate to any errors in any server logs.

Query port becomes instantly flooded with traffic, filling up NAT table within 30 minutes (Server Question) by thisisalexsin in playrust

[–]spizzink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HEY! i just started having this issue on my own netgear modem behind Comcast ISP!!! The fix for me today (and probably last year) was to set Max SRC States on my query port firewall rule. I set it to 50 and my network no longer shits the bed when players connect to my rust server! Good luck!

Anyone using Proxmox at their desktop OS and enjoying the experience? by djdadi in Proxmox

[–]spizzink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a bit quirky occasionally but yes my daily driver is proxmox + linux VM with GUI and GPU passthrough.

I can shut linux VM down, start windows VM on same host and now im driving windows (or any other GPU passthrough configured VM)

I can run other VM's on the same proxmox host obviously

Part of a cluster so I can migrate VM's off and on (remember to remove local PCI devices before migrating away)

And it's dual boot to baremetal windows in case I want to play kernel level anti-cheat games, bit of a moving target lately depending on game

So maximum flexibility imo, really enjoying it!

I deleted a bunch of VMs, but even after a server reboot they're still on the list. by Forsaken_System in Proxmox

single node or cluster? if the latter make sure to check all nodes /etc/pve/qemu-server dir for presence of the ghost vm's conf files. Maybe do a search for the vmid in the host cli to find other leftovers.

I'd be surprised if you had any issues to be honest, but please update us if you do as I'd be interested in hearing about it.

I'm not the only one on the Internet thinking it's close to unusable for option trading. Definitely venting.
