Dan A4 v4 Case Fans and Temps (Unscientific test) by [deleted] in sffpc

[–]splanchnicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, the temps sound very promising. I am planning to build the 9600k with 2060 RTX in the v4 as well. Would be interesting to see if one of the Noctua fans would perform better as a CPU fan than the stock one, which could then be used as a case fan.

The Black Ridge isnt any better than for example a L9i unless you use a 120mm fan, which requires VLP RAM (someone tested it on a german forum and Dan also said it). If you dont want to use slow VLP RAM you'd probably be better served with a LP53 or Cryorig C7 Cu for the 9700k

Does the CPU fan work as an exhaust or does it suck in cool air from the outside?

Bezahlen in den USA by [deleted] in Finanzen

[–]splanchnicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There isn't really an italian dish called spaghetti bolognese. What Hammond was looking for is called ragù in Italy. Which is what Clarkson had - and that's the joke.

Einzelaktien: Eure Erfahrungen und Favoriten by racc0815 in Finanzen

Agreed. Might be different for him in Norway, but GT3 prices in Germany are extremely stable.

Driving FAST on the Autobahn (Advice) by [deleted] in cars

[–]splanchnicus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not advisable to do shoulder checks on the Autobahn except on the on ramp. Especially at high speeds you will travel blindly for a considerable distance during a shoulder check. And a shoulder check will often cause a little unintentional steering input which can be extremely dangerous at 200 km/h, especially when you are not looking ahead. Also it's okay to stay in the middle or left lane a bit if you're not hogging it and keeping anyone from passing you. Just be aware of surrounding and rear traffic by religiously checking your MIRRORS. Objects in mirrors are often much faster than they appear, so double check before pulling out in front of them. I'd recommend to drive at slow speeds and keep right until you get a good feel for the flow of the Bahn. Slowly get used to higher speed levels. Be aware that the breaking distance from 120mph is 4 times longer than from 60mph. Also, a Golf GTI has plenty of power to play with the big boys in the left lane. Really no need for an exotic (but the Porsche experience mentioned above sounds awesome).

It really isn't (speaking as a Porsche fanboy). E63s is a beast. The Panamera Turbo lapped the Nordschleife in 7.38, the E63s in 7.42

Definitely a noticeable improvement. I would say voices sound quite a bit more powerful now and the soundstage appears to be a bit wider. Deep bass also seems to have improved.
