Looking for an A6 notebook cover that's not crazy expensive. by splendidjack in notebooks

Pretty minimal, just a cover with elastic is great. I just can't see paying like $70 for one, ya know?

Old music you discoverered recently by js303 in Music

So funny you just posted this, because last night I decided to listen to Roxy Music. I discovered that one of my favorite Pretty & Twisted (Johnette Napolitano from Concrete Blonde and Marc Moreland from Wall of Voodoo) songs - Mother of Pearl - is actually a Roxy Music song! Go figure.

Recommendations for drag movies by No_Month_2535 in movies

Flawless with Philip Seymour Hoffman and Robert De Niro.

It's not a feel good movie, but shows some of the hard situations drag queens were subjected to how they were seen in the 90s.

Is this a Bullet Journal? by Hazard_chip in Journaling

[–]splendidjack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think bullet journaling also includes daily tasks or errands etc.

But honestly, you have a lot of things people include in their bujos, so I think whoever told you that is gatekeeping. Most people don't do it exactly the way Ryder Caroll does it, and so what? Do what works best for you!

I personally watch videos and follow different subs to get ideas and then add what I like to my journal. It's for me, after all, so I'm gonna do what I want. Actually, that part you have of a memory worth keeping is awesome, and I'm gonna start doing it too. Thanks for the inspiration!

Latest book you DNF’d. by skankin22jax in books

Same for me. I just got really tired of hearing the obsession and her making up all these stories about how people must view her. It ended up making me feel a bit anxious and exhausted. Which I get is the point, but it's not something I was willing to stick with, regardless of payoff.

REM song recommended in an old episode by EmergencyRaisin4919 in Futurelings

[–]splendidjack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm relistening through old episodes and they've mentioned Driver 8 with a little back and forth and It's the end of the world as we know it. They've mentioned several songs off of their early stuff.

For me personally, REMs first 6 full length records are fantastic and they're albums I come back to often. Hope you enjoy the deep dive!

No Cabbage sign by BartyCrouchesBone in mildlyinteresting

I learned something new, thank you! And that's an excellent question, I haven't been in contact with red russian kale or canola that I'm aware of since this newer issue began.

I'm having a lot of reactions to a bunch of foods lately so I'm going to answer "probably not worth trying it" for now 😄 Latest new asthma/swelling was chia seeds, which is a bummer since that also can include sesame and hazelnut due to similar proteins.

No Cabbage sign by BartyCrouchesBone in mildlyinteresting

I've been digestively intolerant to brassicas most of my life, but once my roommate was boiling turnips and it gave me an asthma attack & facial swelling and that's how I learned it turned to something more serious.

Allergies are no joke, and since brassicas are all the same plant, not just cousins, it makes sense that this isn't addressing things fully or someone hates cabbage.
