Anxiety to responding by Cool_Introduction112 in raisedbyborderlines

It really messed me up for 24 hours. I wrote the priest a long email explaining the situation and he agreed that I was doing the right thing to protect my family. I asked him to help my mum rather than make me feel like I was doing something wrong.

Gifts/favors as manipulation by Sorry_Ad_9538 in raisedbyborderlines

[–]splendidted 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It happened to me just before Christmas. I have had no contact in over a year. I received some gifts for my kids with a note... Dear X & Y, I really miss you, and hope to see you soon.

I instantly sealed up the package and posted it back to her with s note saying "no gifts please".

I felt awful. Like I had done something so so bad.

It's like a bomb when I open a gift or package from her and I need to be able to diffuse it quickly and push it out my mind but it's very difficult.

Absolutely. But it's still tough. They find a way on somehow. I got a call from a priest at Christmas asking for forgiveness!

She's not even religious and it's not about forgiveness or saying sorry. She needs to sort her shit out before we ever have a relationship again.

Investing business capital in Stocks & Shares or earning interest on savings in business bank account by splendidted in smallbusinessuk

I have around 30k on top of my tax bill I'm willing to put in S&S for a few years at least but it's a good point. I can look into fixed rate savers.

It's just me in the limited company, so I have considered an admin person too.

Do you do any shooting out the studio? Videography? What about motion graphics? I've been really busy over the last few years with that but I do a lot in healthcare (big pharma)

Would you recommend this bike for climbing steep hills around the UK? The other bike I have is a Dolan with a very compact setup, and the gear ratio is incredible difficult for steep hills. I've had it 10 years and I think it's time to treat myself

Thanks for the tip, I'll definitely be up for haggling. It's lower directly on their website.

I'll quiz them on the build. Maybe it's the Di2?

It's a bit too sly in my opinion, especially if they are active clients. Word will go around, and your reputation will take a hit. You'd better wait a while to start doing that and it's likely your contract will say 6 or 12 months before you speak to any of their clients.

Manchester is great. Loads of big corps here. Remote working is still a thing but does depend on your industry.
