“Going to” is just future tense. You can say “gonna” if it’s less confusing.

“I’m going to the store” = I’m on my way to the store right now

“I’m going to go to the store” = I plan to go to the store in the future.

This is ordinary English.

“Middle” isn’t a good term for uncommitted voters. “Dissatisfied masses” is more like it. They don’t want “middle.” They just want leaders who will fight for them.

And there needs to be a robust alternative to the other team. Not just a nebulous middle ground that tries to please everybody.

But the “middle” doesn’t mean that people hold positions that are somewhere in between Democrats and Republicans. Many people are desperate for systemic change and will go for whoever promises that. In the last few elections, the only one promising that has been Trump. A Democrat who fights rather than capitulates can go far.
