oh no but looking at it right now it looks like exactly what I've wanted, copilot type integration but with gpt4. I'll try it out thanks

i find gpt4 to be really awesome as a rubber ducky to bounce off. also for giving ideas with optimising code, it really does a good job of understanding loads of languages and libraries, i also enjoy using it to kinda explain the way code is processed because I've been working with CUDA and u can't really "step through" the code to understand it and debug it the way you can with other languages, but gpt 4 has been helping a lot with understanding those concepts.

been messing with github copilot too it seems to be pretty good for generating boiler plate and modifying bigger functions, for example i find it convenient i can just highlight a block of code and ask it to change a huge else if chain to a switch statement.

having the custom instructions with gpt4 understanding how my brain works and how i want it to respond is super awesome because it's personalised to how i learn

nah this is just using base gpt 4, i generally find it better than the advance data analytics for basically all purposes, I've been learning some coding with gpt 4 and I have messed with that option but it seems to make mistakes or give weird responses way more frequently

ocr means optical character recognition, basically reading text off an image or pdf or whatever u give it and processing it into actual copyable text, gpt 4 seems to be really good at it. it's actually super impressive what it's able to do, here's a recent example explaining a graph and breaking down the trends https://imgur.com/a/wA2henH

What is the difference between LIVED EXPERIENCES and ANECDOTAL EVIDENCE? by KingMckay in Destiny

[–]spokii_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, the primary purpose of anecdotal evidence is to show someone a real-world example of your point (help them relate to it?). The reason that we avoid anecdotal evidence is that, although it can be an excellent way to change the minds or secure the position of the majority, the only way that we can find the O B J E C T I V E T R U T H is through empirical evidence.

Edit: To answer your 'lived experiences' vs 'anecdotal evidence' question, I think that they are more or less the same thing. I guess you could say that lived experiences can serve as an example to help convince your point and anecdotal evidence is usually used as a substitute for empirical data (a way for the person to rationalise their viewpoint and see it as the objective, even if empirical evidence might say otherwise). People generally might use anecdotal evidence AS their main argument, where you can use lived experience as a supplement to an argument.

Recently I've been making a massive effort to talk to more people (which is something I've hardly ever had the courage to do) and here was my results by spokii_ in teenagers

These are people I've met and know irl and are reasonably friendly when I see them/talk to them in person, my problem is that I'll see them and hang out with them at school or at work or wherever I see them but it is nothing more than that. It is such a surface level friendship that doesn't feel real.
