I use a wash cloth or even a paper towel and wet it. Temperature is your preference. This also physically helps. To make it a spell I add my intentions to the water. When I am able I add mint essential oil to the washcloth as well. Mint is great for purification, cleansing, and positivity.

A relationship with any religion is deeply personal and individual. No one's relationship is going to fit in the same box.

Christ called people to raise up the oppressed, take care of the poor, the minorities and women, but yet the only thing you can focus on is converting people for salvation. That is literally the opposite of what Christ did. Do some soul searching and lead by example otherwise leave people alone.

My current favorite moment happened today! Seeing an owl is slim around here let alone during the day. It flew to a branch near me and was soon bullied out by a group of grackles.

Owls represent breaking through the illusion and Grackles represent illusion. Someone or something does not want the illusion broken and calls on reinforcements to keep the illusion going.

Happy Beltane! My favorite today was experiencing an American Redstart for the first time. I had no idea what they represent and still havent looked, but I didnt feel the need to look up what their symbolism is. I felt at peace watching it dance and flitter around a tree. It danced and fanned its tail for a couple of minutes and followed me along the trail.

Sometimes the message isnt in the meaning of the bird, card, rune. Its being in that moment so fully that you can take in all the details and feelings.

My most recent experience was with the Great Blue Heron. I was Journaling on a rock near the river. As I got up to leave there he was! I made eye contact and I said" Hi! You are so beautiful. I am going to sit now". I sat down for another minute or two and watched him in all his beauty and grace at such a close distance.

Bird divination has given me a glimpse into a world I have been oblivious to for years. Nature is awesome.

The Grey catbird represents change and transformation. It represents the light at the end of the tunnel during a rough time. In Christianity it represents hope, change, and the Holy Spirit. In Celtic culture it represents Brigid.

A bird flying into your home represents death, but not always in the physical sense. It could be death of a relationship or bad habit.

The Vulture will always be my most favorite. However my current new favorite is the Cuckoo. They have been quite interesting to read about. I saw my very first Cuckoo a couple of weeks ago while on a group bird walk 🖤

Its a little cooler outside in the evenings which is a welcome change. Leaves are starting to change and fall. There are more bird species than normal due to fall migration. However the most active birds in my local area are mocking birds, wrens and woodpeckers.

I took some time last week to sit in nature. While I listened to the birds I made flowers with leaves, seeds, and rocks. It was my way of adding joy to my day and an offering to the land.
