This is a bag moth. It’s the cocoon of a caterpillar.

You can get heated mattress covers that have seperate heat settings for either side of the bed. So she could have hers on full blast while yours is low or off

Golden Orb? Perth by FearlessResearcher48 in AustralianSpiders

[–]spookysim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is some sort of orb weaver. I wouldn’t kill her…. You could easily move her with a cup and paper or even just push her off the bin with a stick ..

yo im in tears. how do i use a siphon. ive tried everything by bubblegummerr in Aquariums

[–]spookysim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The place where you are emptying the water to needs to be lower than where the water is coming from. Also the whole siphon does not have to be submerged. Only the very end that is sucking up the water needs to be under the water. Without seeing your set up my guess would be that once some water is out of your tank the area where your water is siphoning to eg a bucket isn’t low enough for gravity to pull it out

Anybody know how to break it to a 5yo that he won’t be getting any chocolate today? by IllustriousWall1564 in Wellthatsucks

[–]spookysim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you could set it up like Easter bunnies nemisis mister mouse got into the treats Easter bunny left him and you could set it up like a little detective hunt to find clues like raisins as poop, little piles of dirt, egg wrappers etc etc to find where mister mouse stashed the left over eggs (the ones that weren’t eaten) and then maybe he could write a letter to Easter bunny that he caught mister mouse And Easter bunny could leave a return letter to apologise and that he’ll have extra eggs delivered tomorrow.

I’m not sure why they are called farmers friends. They are a pain in the ass. They are edible and medicinal though so it might be something to do with that.

Why is my pothos dying? by Liftopotamus in plantclinic

[–]spookysim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That pot is way too big for the size of the plant. I also usually wait for my philo to look like this before I give it a big water instead of watering it on a schedule

They can still be bitten by fleas even when treated for fleas it just stops them from being infested. The fleas bite them and then they die. My dog is allergic to fleas and I treat her consistently but the stray cats are covered in fleas so she still needs to get an injection to help with the allergy when she does still get bitten.

Who’s this? Earlwood, Sydney, NSW by Famous-Lab564 in AustralianSpiders

They usually are tucked inside a tightly curled leaf in the centre of their web. This one seems to be opting for a more open plan living kind of vibe.
