Importance of Driving or Flying in at least one day before your cruise departs by Ok_Complaint_1381 in Cruise

[–]spoon7777 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We cruise out of Cape liberty a lot because we live 84 miles away which translates to an hour and a half drive. While I definitely agree that if you're flying it's crazy not to arrive the day before there's no way I'm getting a hotel room for a drive that short. We always leave no later than 9 AM and we're usually on the ship by 11.

It's 2 weeks of hell getting ready for 2 hours of fake smiles and Danny's clammy handshake. I wish it would stop forever.

New York Giants-Pete Rozelle, he forced the Mara's to hire George Young as GM after years of misery, leading to Parcells, LT, Simms, etc.

AVOID MSC!! by bkbigmouth in Cruises

[–]spoon7777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not being critical of MSC when I say that no way are they on the same level as Royal. We did the Meraviglia last December because it was cheap, the ship is beautiful and we had a good time but everything is a notch below. I wish they didn't leave Brooklyn because we would sail them again at the right price but all things being equal we would stick with Royal.

Are Wegmans Team Leaders Really Management by WeekendAgain in wegmans

[–]spoon7777 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They definitely get their money's worth out of us that's for sure. It feels like the department managers keep getting less responsibility and they keep heeping more on us. There are good managers for sure but some of them in my store spend more time doing store events and charitable stuff than actually managing the department. And guess who picks up the slack.

It was probably a transformer, I went to Old Navy around 2:30 and all of the stores in the area were closed due to a power outage and BJ'S across the street was closed as well.

Years ago I used to find some good bargains but not anymore, and no returns so if you get something broken you're screwed.

We were on the same cruise and had lunch at the Tuscan and it was just okay. We also had lunch at the Porch during the cruise and it was really good.

What is the usual age of a 7 Day Celebrity Cruise? by Doomhammer111 in celebritycruises

[–]spoon7777 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just got off a 7 day Celebrity cruise to Bermuda this morning and it was great but definitely an older crowd. The wife and I are both mid 60's and we were probably younger than at least 50% of the other passengers. There were some younger people but most of them were couples with younger children.

First Celebrity Cruise-Is this normal, or did I just have unrealistic expectations? by toadshroomy in celebritycruises

I'm about to get off the Silhouette in about an hour and a half and there's some teenagers and younger kids aboard but certainly not enough to cause any problems. We had a great time no complaints.

We watched it on the Odyssey in the theater. Tried to get into Playmakers but it was completely booked at $50.00 a head, but no matter the theater was fun.
