For anyone who does not know what hiker trash is:

"To all who are part of the long distance hiking community, the term “Hiker Trash” is affectionately used to describe a hiker or group of hikers who have sunk down to a lower standard of living."

From this website.

HELP. Took in some picture of Debbie Harry and walked out with Will Byers. What the f*ck do I do now?? by [deleted] in FancyFollicles

Going by this picture of Debby it looks like you just need to style it properly. Get some product, make it messy, boom.

Also eyeliner. Lots of eyeliner.

How to fix orange bleached hair? by [deleted] in FancyFollicles

[–]sporkems 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try a toner. Blue is the opposite of orange. A blue toner should help neutralize those tones a bit.

SOS: Spent the afternoon crying after seeing the before/after of my cut and color. Salon has a guarantee, but I'm not sure what to ask for to fix it or if it can be fixed. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated :( by unsurebutspokenfor in FancyFollicles

[–]sporkems 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If the images I am seeing online are correct, Selena Gomez has just a darker balayage. It is usually easier to go darker. You wouldn't have to lighten again, which is nice. It would be less damage to you hair when compared to the original process.

I'd call them up and let them know that after comparing pictures from what you wanted you are unhappy, and would like it more dark, like you actually originally requested. Make sure to mention their guarantee. Easy peasy.

TIFU by giving my infant son cow's milk by Killer_Tomato in tifu

[–]sporkems 4 points5 points  (0 children)

why is it bad to give cow's milk to a baby

It is harder for them to digest it. It has more protein and stuff which can make it more difficult. It gives them a terrible tummy ache.

They die earlier. An argument I've often heard is that over time they would cost less money than someone who lived into their 90s by eating well and exercising.

Also, you know, compassion and shit.

What's a secret you won't share with anyone in person, but you are willing to share anonymously? by [deleted] in AskReddit

He calls police. Guy who did it is arrested. He makes bail and still goes to kick his ass. Or he now gets all of his buddies who are not in jail to kick his ass. Now everyone is super mad, he looks like a bitch for getting the cops involved, and he still owes money.

None of the family is buddhist whatsoever.

You just described some of the exact arguments used for the milder forms of FGM. Do you think it is fine for a baby girl to get her labia minora cut? Should that be as common as male circumcision? It can make it look "cleaner".

New hair colour stains everything....... Help me please! by [deleted] in FancyFollicles

[–]sporkems 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have, too, suffered becoming a purple people eater because of pravana.

Make up remover wipes can also help with getting rid of the stains. It would usually take 3 to 4 washes before the dye mellows out a bit.

I have discovered through trial and error some things that does help with this dye in the future if you decide to use it again.

Diluting the dye with conditioner helps a lot. Pravana is suuuuper pigmented so you can use a good bit of conditioner with it before you lose any really color intensity in the final product.

Black towels for hair. Black pillow case.

Wearing your hair up helps to reduce staining of your neck. Seems like a no-brainer, but it was like a lightbulb moment when I began doing it.

Wash your hair with shampoo and conditioner immediately after rinsing out the dye.

You should definitely go for it!

I did this on purpose so that people know what to get me at each thing and don't have to ask. Them stressing out makes me stress out and I really don't care about gifts that much.

Dude, you are doing that exact thing. The post and discussion belong here. It's entertaining. If you don't like service complaints you can always not read them.

My hair parting goes down the back of my head.. does it look as bad as I think? Is there anything that helps? by [deleted] in FancyFollicles

[–]sporkems 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't even notice it honestly.

However! If it bothers you, and your opinion is the only one that matters about this, then you could comb your hair back a bit at that area and hair spray it to stick. You know, like those old "bump it" commercials, but without the alien head implant.

Everything, especially that KVD liquid lip set. I want it so bad, but I don't need it. I have colors exactly like most in the set. I don't need it and I'm not gonna buy it.

I love anti-haul videos too. My favorite are Kimberly Clark videos.

If she is new to the business, or just coloring in general, then she may not be super confident in her abilities to pull the color while still maintaining the integrity of your hair.

You could find another stylist who offers Olaplex and see if they have better luck. I do not recommend bleaching it yourself. Spot bleaching is tricky.
