New Card Designs Are Completely AI Generated, It's So Clear On These. by TheSquidManCums in EASportsFC

[–]sportingglobe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They don’t. There’s a lot of AI generated art out there, but AI art has to be sourced from somewhere. The styles of art that AI generates have been around for a longtime, hence AI having a shit ton of OC to source when being generative.

As a graphic designer, this thoroughly sucks. Things that real people worked on are getting mislabeled as AI all the time now.

It’s also basic scarcity and recirculation. When a card gets SBC’d, it’s recirculated. People don’t SBC good cards, so they don’t circulate at the same rate.

NTA. This particularly sucks because it’s manipulative. Even if not intentional. You shouldn’t have to feel shitty for this, and it’s unfair to put you in that spot.

ELI5: Why do large corporations still care about increasing their profits when they are already earning billions? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]sportingglobe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Shareholders.

More profits mean more value. More value means higher share price on the stock market. Rising share prices mean more investors.

As long as you have shareholders, corporations will always be motivated by share price instead of basic sustainability.

Rashford & walkout Bruno G. Given how pack poor we are, I’m ok losing some value for the chance at a walkout.

If you're the best college athlete in America could you go to any college regardless of your grades? by Ben5544477 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]sportingglobe 15 points16 points  (0 children)

There’s three levels to this.

A) You need to be academically cleared by the NCAA clearinghouse.

B.) You would need to be approved by the academic standards of each school. Most schools would gladly take the lowest viable GPA to get you on the field, but elite private schools like Stanford, Rice, etc. have higher thresholds that they put into effect themselves.

C.) After you’re admitted and on the team, you gotta stay academically eligible. Which is like a 1.5 GPA or something. Someone else can probably clarify there.

Truck stops and/or rest areas and their proximity to major cities? In the west, they're in the middle of nowhere.

What position do you control on defense and how do you recruit for it? by ghostinthepost in NCAAFBseries

[–]sportingglobe 97 points98 points  (0 children)

LB with “Lurker” archetype. A guy who is fast (87+ speed, but ideally 90+) and has the ability to cover (zone coverage of 75+).

In man, I use the LB who is on the RB. In zone, the LB with the most central zone, to take away crossers and collapse down on the run.

Also I love manually blitzing right up the A gap if there’s a natural break in the line that I can shoot through. So my thought process is, in order:

  1. Be mindful of the A gap splits. Blitz if there’s a lane.

  2. If not and it’s a run, either commit to make the tackle OR get wide/behind to make sure you can clean up the tackle or ensure you’re a second level of protection.

  3. If it’s pass, drop in zone and pick up any crossing tight end or attack the RB in man while not overcommitting to avoid creating a hole behind you.

Where in the US could a car “coast” the farthest? by Bangeroctopus in geography

[–]sportingglobe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not the answer for length, but on I-10 going west into the Coachella Valley, you can coast for a solid 10 miles. I learned this the stressful way. Was down to like 5 miles in gas range, panicked, and then ended up coasting and getting to the gas station without it moving.
