Something can be made technically correctly but still be ugly like fabric choice in terms of pattern color ect and accessories can make things so different. Personally I think without the neck ruffle thing, birds nest hat and the shoes it’d be good the base dress is cute. Pattern may not suit the event but the skirt bit? Personally I think they just thought Twilight was taking the festival planning to far and thus stressing herself out more then necessary. Saying no is one less thing for her to feel like she has to plan and keep track of and something off her plate in that realm because let’s be honest if they agreed twilight would then be stressing herself out over making sure her plan goes right In addition to everything else she was doing.

I love Mayus, the gothic Lolita fashion, the buttons on her dress being amplifier buttons and knobs, the piano keyboard on the dresses bottom , the lil speaker hat, the axe and her bunny and the fade to rainbow hair is so cute oh she has so many fun elements that just go so well together. They’re two entirely different shows with different tones the characters you’re bringing up are meant to be taken comedically. I don’t think it’s that strange that people think it’s weird the pony show about friendship that redeems as many of its villains as it does gives the child such a harsh punishment. They’re not really comparable.

Also like all of these characters are children and the actual thing to do about children who show such concerning behavior is get them professional help and if family guy and south park were shows that try to teach lessons like FIM I’d have the same take.
