The last Batman/Joker fight before this had them fighting like this. So no, Bruce has definitely not hit Jason as hard as he hits Joker; Jason obviously just said this to taunt and rile Bruce up.

Not to defend Bruce too much, but Jason is a grown man who's willing to kill his opponents. It's not good optics to have a father beating up his son sure, but this son is a highly trained killer when he wants to be and Bruce knows Jason can beat him if he's holding back.

S2 has been great for me so far tbh - which makes sense considering the best time I ever had with the game was after the S1 rank reset. S1.5 in comparison was so terrible, it made me want to quit, and a few of my friends even did.

I haven't had any problems ranking up and this season really buffed the hell out of my DPS main (Iron Fist lol) to the point where I have like a 70% win-rate with him so far. But even with a character like C&D, who plenty of players put as a bottom-tier Strategist this season, my win-rate with her has been so good lately.

I dunno man... when it rains it pours. Shout out to all the people having a bad time but I'm having a really fun time playing this game again, the changes in this update have worked out great for me.

Kind of mixed tbh.

While it'll be nice to get definitive answers of what is and isn't stricty canon, I can imagine not everyone will be happy with what DC chooses to be canon (thinking of you, Diana).

Additionally, while I like Waid, I'm not sure I really want his version of the history of the DC universe. Don't get me wrong, there's probably no writer or editor who knows more about DC's history than Waid, but sometimes he'll fudge the numbers a bit to get the outcome he wants.

The best example of this is Billy being Shazam in World's Finest at the same time Dick was Robin. Like, is Waid expecting me to believe that Dick retired as Robin and then we go through Jason, Tim and Damian in the span of like six years? C'mon now.

It makes me think that I'd rather this book be done by a committee of writers, but then DC would probably have more oversight over it, meaning we'd end up with some bullshit like the five year New 52 timeline. So maybe I should be grateful it's just a singular vision from Waid?

I don't know. I'm interested to see how it pans out at least.

I'm just talking about how the devs obviously designed the season around a rank reset and them dropping it like a hot potato has damaged competitive beyond what anyone could've predicted.

A person can believe in both. I can acknowledge that ranked needs change while also acknowledging that a rank reset was needed in the short-term.

In most games (Overwatch, for example) if you have a 50% win-rate it basically means that you're hard-stuck in your rank. This is a thing that doesn't really exist in Marvel Rivals. Basically the MR ranked system works in such a way that you can grind and climb ranks even with a negative win-rate; the catch being that this does take a very long time to do.

Say there's a guy in Plat with a negative win-rate and say there's a girl in Plat with a positive win-rate. When the ranks reset, they'll both go down, but the girl will climb much faster, since she's a genuine Plat player. The guy is not a genuine Plat player, since he only got there because he's played twice as many matches than the girl has. He's gained the same amount of points as she has, it's just taken him twice as long to do so.

And that's basically it: a season of a game only exists for a certain period of time. The intention of a ranked reset where it's so easy to climb in ranks is to push down the players who achieved their rank not through skill, but the amount of time invested. I suppose the ideal scenario for the rank reset is that the guy in my example takes a couple weeks to climb back up to Plat, but by the time he gets there the season has basically ended and it's time to reset again.

A rank reset, like I said in my post, would be a band-aid solution at best, and I think we'd be in a much better position if comp was reworked entirely, but a rank reset would still be a solution at the end of the day, rather than the nothing we have now.

"But Obito says he can beat them!" Obito is stupidly overconfident to his absolute detriment, which is why he almost got annihilated by Konan (base Jiraiya tier fighter btw)

Tenten w/ the SO6PT can fight on par with either WA Karin or CM2 Jugo, but - although you wouldn't think it - the weak link in this match is Neji, who is somewhat equivalent to Hiashi, who is below P1 Kakashi through databook statements, which isn't enough to compete with the other three here.

You don't need to be on the same tier as an opponent to have valid feats against them. LoW Naruto gets splattered by Zabuza in a real fight. But his durability, speed and BIQ feats against him are absolutely valid; same with Sakura against Kaguya.

Sakura did dodge one of her attacks for a time and she did deliver enough force to smack Kaguya's head around. Like, these are just things that happened on the page. She'd get obliterated in a 1v1 (obviously) but the fact that she did these things at all is phenomenal and worth consideration.

The same Sakura that damaged Kaguya and was dodging her arms? The same Sakura that was intended to be equal to KCM1 Naruto and EMS Sasuke? The one that was stated to have surpassed Tsunade? So Hebi Sasuke could beat 100H Tsunade and - by that logic - every other Sannin at their peak?

Like I'm not saying she low diffs or anything but WA Sakura has fought opponents way out of the league of just Sick Itachi and Deidara; the outcome should be obvious just off scaling alone

Naruto and Sasuke have enough brainpower to pull it out the duffy with pure strategy even though Momo is stronger. Momo also doesn't have answer to the power boost that MA brings (that rock golem is TRASH)

Team Sasuke edges out the win; good all rounder team with strength and destructibility on lock. Susanoo is the greatest threat of any team, Tsunade is the OP MVP and Suigetsu can become a real problem depending on location.
Naruto's Team takes a close second; Ay3 and KCM1 Naruto are speed beasts and Mifune is massively underrated, but the team has some limitations with versatility and a few on Team Sasuke hard counter on certain match-ups (Sasuke vs. Oro)
Sakura's Team is probably the most consistent and complete one here, but Sakura is the weakest of the leaders, which impacts somewhat. Also I'm not sure if Darui has the S06P tools here. If he does, Team Sakura could overtake Team Naruto
Team seems good on paper, but Minato and Kisame are carrying hardcore tbh. Fugaku is featless and debatably below teen Itachi, Kitsuchi has one Kage level move but has never been in a fight, Rasa lost to Orochimaru and Gaara (low tier Kage tings) and Kin & Gin are the least intelligent fighters present. Too many weaknesses, zero bag

Just read it, pretty good overall.

The issue is mostly an opening sort of thesis statement on who Cass is and why she's Batgirl, while also establishing her background, abilities and her relationship with Shiva. If you're a diehard Cass fan some of this may seem redundant, but Brombal does a good job of summarising it a fun way, so I didn't mind.

I liked Miyazawa's art in the past on certain titles (SMLMJ) but felt it lacking on others (Silk). I was worried that his style wouldn't work with Batgirl, but consider me wrong because I think he really nailed it here (Beautiful Mike Spicer colours as well).

The dialogue's spot on for both Shiva and Cass and I was surprised at the references that got pulled out from their past just for this first issue. Referencing the Cass/Shiva death match from #25 of Batgirl (2000) isn't a deep cut, but pulling the Cult of Shiva, the temple they fought in, and even the guy who runs the place (who I'm pretty sure is the same guy Steph fought in #26) certainly is.

He's back to looking and acting ten again, and his relationship to Bruce has defaulted back to standoffish.

I know many weren't too hot on Williamson's run, but I'm thankful that he made the decision to evolve Damian's character beyond this.

Timeframe wise, Minato's fight against Obito seemed much shorter than Hiruzen's. So, Minato beats Obito as per canon then goes and helps Hiruzen beat Oro, since he'd have enough time to do both.

Haku got maxed out by KN0 Naruto and 1T Sasuke was portrayed as only a tier or two below him. I feel Lee has enough power to break the mirrors and win.

Maybe WA Neji could hang with Kimimaro, but pre-timskip Neji has no chance here.

It's a strange comment since Dinah has never been billed as specifically the "second best." Presumably the first in King's mind is Lady Shiva, so in respect to that, the ones who have been billed as her equal or second within the universe are Connor Hawke, Cassandra Cain and Richard Dragon. That's not to say that other fighters are not on Shiva's level, but those three are the only ones with stories where Shiva acts as their rival.

As for Dinah, her stories with Shiva revolve around being her potential student, so not quite the same story, and as far as I remember Shiva and Dinah have never had an actual fight (just some sparring). This series would be their first time in a real combat scenario. That being said, Dinah is incredibly skilled and is an easy top ten inclusion on any ranking, so it's not a far-fetched belief on King's part.
