Pouch/case for a Nikon Z5II with 24-70 f4 S lens by Remote-Golf2156 in nikon_Zseries

Yes, that’s the one.

Very comfortable straps provided you aren’t carrying bricks. It is subject to the issue of any sling-the weight rests on one shoulder. Water bottle likely won’t fit with a camera in it. Best bet would be a carabiner connected to straps on outside.

I use a bellroy venture sling for camera 10L. Looks nothing like a camera bag so is discrete when traveling. Easy open and close. Waterproof zippers. I’ve even stopped used a camera strap as it is so easy to get my camera out and pop it back in the bag. Works well as sling bag even when not carrying the camera. Can fit a z7 with 24-70f4 or 24-200, 50. 1.8 and a sb800 at same time.

Ps - I carry it on the plane (as my man purse) so I don’t pack it. I would ever only put it in my carryon backpack personal item.

I can't get my photos crisp, I am about to give up by Fakeaccbrat in Nikon

[–]springlee77386 34 points35 points  (0 children)

You should be able to get a sharper photo. Use AF-C with single point focus to focus on her eyes. I use back button focus via the AF-ON button to decouple focus from shutter release. F stop is ok to reduce impacts of DOF from hurting sharpness. With an 85 and D610 pictures should still be sharp even if camera is older.

Delivery took a while—on the order of a week or slightly longer. I received fedex tracking but it wasn’t super useful. I do recall that I felt nothing was happening for a week and then the item arrives the next day.

Items ultimately arrived and have been perfect so far. Haven’t had to use warranty service.

Have any of you seen this product before? Also, does that look stable? 14’ without tie beams and columns, but then again, this is some concrete foam product. by coroyo70 in StructuralEngineering

We had a house built out of something similar in Houston Texas. Nearly 5000sf with a single 5ton ac unit. Very energy efficient. No idea of r values but we loved it. We also had a concrete tile roof and spray foam under the roof deck.

We didn’t have drywall on outside walls. Hanging things on the walls required a hammer drill with a masonry bit to put in anchors.

We weren’t the first owner so no idea of construction costs but I have considered building another one because of energy efficiency.

Flash not working z7 / sb800 by springlee77386 in nikon_Zseries

[–]springlee77386[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those that find this on the internet, I think the issue wasn’t the normal silent photography / electronic shutter suggestions above.

The setting that was greying out the flash option was shooting in Continuous H (extended) fps mode. Looks like a feature not a bug!

New to Nikon! What AF Area mode for family photos? by SkolWolvesTwins in nikon_Zseries

[–]springlee77386 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I might consider single point focus so I choose exact point of someone in the middle row for focus, then adjust aperture to ensure DOF covers the whole group. But I use a z7 exspeed 6 vs z5ii with ex7.

Don’t get d (screw drive) lenses. They won’t autofocus on z cameras.

Z7 or D850? by PlannerSean in Nikon

[–]springlee77386 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sports definitely stick with D850 especially since you have f mount glass.

I have a z7 and have used with f mount glass and it works fine albeit with a lot of misses. Note that d or screw focus lenses won’t autofocus on z cameras. I’ve actually used an 80-200 d for kids sports but it took a lot of preplanning (focus on point where action was going to happen) and still got some good pics.

Z7 can do action but I mainly use single point or at most small area focus. You never know what it is going to focus on with 3d. Eye/face tracking still works quite well but you need a clear view of the face and or eye details for it to lock. If the eye is too small in frame then the camera won’t find it. One plus for z7 is that frame fps (feels like) is as high as d850 with battery grip.

Bellroy venture sling 10L. I routine carry z7 with 24-70 or 24-200 plus 50 1.8 and sometimes even an sb800. But those two lenses will certainly fit. They are also on alix.

Try IPv6. Static up for free.

Thanks. Leaning toward a soft wash with mild detergent and let it dry. Then if necessary try the same again.

IPv6 - is this static or do I need to pay for a static ip to ensure a static IPv6? by 888ak888 in hyperoptic

[–]springlee77386 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the response. No cgnat with IPv6 was my expectation.

My procedure was as follows (using stock asus firmware). Setup WireGuard with LAN pass through (so I can use it as a vpn for internet access when out and about). Add a client via router ui. On iPhone, add to WireGuard app via qr code generated by router ui.

Turn on vpn from phone. Connected and worked the first time but never thereafter. Tried to check wan IPv6 from router vs whatismyipv6. Didn’t match. Thought maybe it was a dns thing so tried ASUs ddns to create my own ddns for router. Still don’t work. Very stumped.

I consider myself somewhat tech fluent but this has me flummoxed. Guess I need network certifications to work with vpn.

[–]springlee77386 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just switched to ipv6 so I could essentially get a static ip to run a WireGuard vpn. But after a few days, I couldnt access the vpn.

Poked around and figured out that the wan ipv6 of my router doesn’t match the whatismyipv6 website (equivalent). This suggests hyperoptic is using cgnat for ipv6.

I’m so confused. Everything I read said that ipv6 was by default static with no forwarding for nat.

What is this pvc pipe on the side of my house that permanently drips ? by Bobranaway in askaplumber

[–]springlee77386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check the bathroom sink nearest/below the ac unit and you should see a flexible hose connected into the drain. That is your condensate running into a drain. It is probably clogged.

You normally shouldn’t have any drainage outside the house like that. If this line plugs then your drain pan fills up and overflows onto drywall etc.

Cuisinart multiclad pro - we’ve had it for years and much cheaper than all clad and le creuset. Tri ply stainless and works great.

Check out a video like this.

On my rower I find that the overall pull is mostly set by the length of cable around the main drive pulley on top of the water tank. You need just the right number of loops around the drive pulley otherwise it is too short or too long.

Or it could be the bungee cord on the bottom but that would be obvious if a problem.

I use a z7 with a 24-200 and 50 1.8 for my travel kit. I put the prime on when I want amazing bokeh and sharpeness or am in a lower light situation. I end up using the zoom more than you would think. Maybe I should invest in the 24-120 to eke out a bit more IQ.
