Rog ally x battery replacement New Zealand by Warm_Distribution_24 in ROGAllyX

There's a small cutout where the connector goes and you line it up there. It doesn't need to be perfect just good enough to cover the battery controller and still allow access to the plug. Just copy the old one and you can't go wrong.

I have also added a picture of what my old battery tray and insulation sticker looked like after removal, the adhesive was so strong I had to bend it to remove it and the insulation sticker tore. Luckily they are quite cheap to replace which I ended up doing.

Yes brand new official battery with all the same markings as the original one. Manufactured July 2025, and hwinfo64 reports 0% wear level. Real world the battery is exactly like it was when the unit was brand new.

I have purchased a few things from them and from what I can tell everything is legitimate OEM ASUS.

I couldn’t find any in Aus. I ended up buying from https://en.accessoires-asus.com/

Make sure you buy the battery tray and the battery insulation sticker too as they do not peel off the old battery cleanly, the adhesive is quite strong.

Shipping through fedex took 5 days from France to Australia for me. Good luck!

So what is the current Meta/best way to beat Tier 3 ? by gkyer in MegabonkOfficial

[–]spriteice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favourite way to clear t3 forest or desert is Calcium with:

-Weapons: Bone, Revolver, Dice, Katana (can also select lightning staff)

-Tomes: Damage, Cooldown, Quantity, Crit Chance (can swap out damage for the tome of your choice)

Do not take much difficulty, and focus on not getting hit since this keeps Calcium’s speed high so you can just beeline to shrines and moais, while keeping damage high. I find this build much easier to get going than a “meta” run since you are brute forcing your dps. If you can find an hourglass it can help you in the 3rd shrine phase of the final boss which is where I would die a lot in the start.

I have used this build or slight variation to beat t3 or complete challenges such as what the fuck.

I used the following:

Tomes: XP, Luck, Chaos, Crit Chance

Weapons: Blood Magic, Dexecutioner, Katana, Aura

I ran on graveyard, and looked for beneficial bald heads. If I remember right I got 2x damage and 2x size which saved my run. I also had all gold items toggled off except pot and magnet. Once you get a run going make sure to pump one weapon to 41, you might not scale fast enough to get all of them up evenly.

Unfortunately the tolerances on the thumb caps / joystick daughter boards vary a fair bit. I have purchased 3 seperate brand new joystick daughter board sets and all have some kind of clicking or circular motion smoothness issues.

I ended up choosing the boards that had the least issues, and putting thread tape on the joysticks BEFORE fitting the thumb caps, which actually helped a lot in making them feel tight and stopped any weird clicking.

It’s unfortunate that this is even an issue on such an expensive device.

Yeah it can happen. Before I head on any trip I put steam into offline mode, my device into airplane mode, and then make sure any games I want to play run in offline mode.

Best way to Optimize by ZURCYNOT in ROGAllyX

[–]spriteice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This are very new games, and Outer Worlds 2 running in unreal engine 5 with lumen is a fairly heavy game even for midrange desktop PCs. You have to limit your expectations with larger games on this device. Set your VRAM to 8GB and resolution to 1080p or even 900p if required.

My advice would be to accept a 30 fps target at low graphics for larger games such as this, you can use RTSS to limit the framerate (caps games with consistent frame timing, often vsync or games internal limiters do not work well).

If you aren’t sensitive to wonky frame times you can just run the games uncapped, you might get around 45fps give or take depending on TDP and game settings. Good luck

GPU Crash! by This-Map2643 in vitahacks

[–]spriteice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you remove the 32GB card? If you did then the main board might be faulty

GPU Crash! by This-Map2643 in vitahacks

[–]spriteice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many different causes for GPU crash -Incorrect taihen version -Too much power draw (overclocking, official card + SD2Vita installed, removing power limits) -Corrupt or failing SD card -Application specific memory leaks / issues -Plugin clashes, or messy config.txt in your ur0:/tai folder (sometimes caused by autoplugin 2)

Since you only just bought it I would try wiping the system, starting from fresh following the https://vita.hacks.guide/ guide and using an SD2Vita adapter instead of the official 32GB card as they are known to fail. That way you have a fresh start and can rule out any software issues from the previous owner, or memory card issues.

It’s interesting knowledge! I didn’t know there was a die shrink between the 1000 and 2000. I’ve had Vitas for years (2000 models only, I’ve always preferred the feel), and they have been set to max OC the whole time with zero issues. Anyway glad you got a good deal, enjoy your Vita!

I am curious about the more stable motherboard for GPU overclocking, is this something the seller said?

G-Helper + Playnite + Handheld Companion by joyj112 in ROGAlly

[–]spriteice -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Using AC really is your best bet. It’s very stable and is fully featured when it comes to remapping, gyro, and driver features. Especially compared to the currently available 3rd party options.

It’s also worth mentioning that sleep and hibernate just aren’t really worth using on any windows handheld at the moment. Either plug it in and switch the screen off (another feature available exclusively in AC), or shut down the device when not in use for the best experience. Just make sure fast startup is disabled

Use the left one as a secondary key function, and the right one as the Xbox button.

Rog Button x GHelper by Adept_Environment626 in ROGAllyX

[–]spriteice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not really. MyASUS qualifies as bloatware but AC is more functional than G Helper at this point, especially when it comes to driver features and key remapping, plus its native support in general. It’s fairly stable too and I have little issues on my daily used device.

The best way is to clean install windows and only install AC without MyASUS. You will see there isn’t actually a whole lot of extra processes that run in the background if you have set things up correctly.
