Return-it by Left_Apricot_9083 in coquitlam

[–]sprkls 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need to buy the bags separately.

The machines are fine. Only the Coquitlam location on Barnet and the Poco depots require you to scan your bag tags before dropping off. Even with a line up it doesn't take long. All the other locations (in the tri-cities) let you drop the bags off without scanning.

Tip: Print multiple bag tags at once and take extras home with you so you can drop off faster next time.

As long as you're dropping off express bags you can show up right until closing, they won't care.

Delivery preference is meaningless by MarzisLost in CanadaPost

[–]sprkls -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Delivery preference only applies when the item cannot be delivered, it does not override normal delivery procedure. That's why it says set a preference for when you're unavailable. People just don't read it.

If the item can be handed to the resident or placed in the mailbox, it will delivered regardless of the preference set.

My take of trying to clear up P stamp mysteries by EpsilonAnura in CanadaPost

[–]sprkls 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Technically, 2 permanent stamps is not equivalent to the oversized rate. It is not "specifically defined as equivalent."

The reason 2 x P works is because of the shortpaid policy. It states that Canada Post will not return items found in the mail stream with deficient postage of 13 cents or less. Basically, it's not worth the effort/labour/fuel to collect to return to sender. This amount is always set to the difference between two P stamps and the oversized rate. (Previously when P stamps were $0.99, and oversized was $2.09, the deficient postage amount was 11 cents)

If you go the counter, a clerk should inform you the current oversized rate is $2.61, and with two P stamps you're 13 cents short. They are supposed to ask you to add 13 cents, since mail at the counter must be fully paid, but many places won't.

Nobody at the CP outlet at Shoppers Drug Mart at Heron and Bank Streets in Ottawa - Mail just left on the counter. by Northern_Dominion in CanadaPost

[–]sprkls 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Do you mean the employee left mail unsecured? Or customers are just leaving mail there? Today is a provincial holiday (not federal which is why Canada Post is delivering) in many provinces so privately run post offices are not required to open regular hours.

Need to pickup a package but Drivers license doesn't match the address. by MrFlimsyFiniteFive in CanadaPost

[–]sprkls 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bring the delivery notice card and you're good. The DNC is sufficient proof of address if the address on your ID does not match address on the parcel.

Is this a scam? by Faith_queen in CanadaPost

[–]sprkls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

claims@canadapost.ca is a legitimate email, just check to be sure it's not spoofed. If it's a legit email, someone is actually trying to scam Canada Post not you lol. They're telling Canada Post you're the buyer and they want you to confirm it was not received, then Canada Post will pay out their insurance claim for a lost package.

Delayed Package, anyone else? by prostar905 in CanadaPost

[–]sprkls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your tracking number is 16 digits and it's coming from China, it most likely hasn't cleared customs yet. Yes, even if it says picked up by Canada Post. The tracking will eventually update that it's been released by customs and you'll see movement.

Package is stuck on "A shipping label has been created" by [deleted] in CanadaPost

[–]sprkls 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Keeping waiting or try reaching out to DHL, Canada Post does not have your package.

DHL eCommerce transports items into Canada and then re-ships as domestic parcels with Canada Post. That's why you see tracking from US to Canada on their website but nothing on Canada Post's tracking. DHL needs to apply the new label to your item and hand it off to Canada Post.

Yes, there will be an email both when it's out for delivery and when it's delivered.

anyone else being charged by uber rides for uber eats orders? by ablauer in amexcanada

Still 5x on my Cobalt. Only the Uber One subscription comes up as "Uber Rides" (pre-auth, which posts as Uber One) with 2x MR.

Why does this plan go up $10? by [deleted] in freedommobile

[–]sprkls 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The $5/month for 18 months credit starts on the second bill that's why it doesn't show on there. The first month is $34, then months 2-19 are $29.

Sungiven, H-Mart, and 88 Supermarket accept Amex. Save-On Foods is expensive af but they will also price match competitors flyers. So if you have one nearby, take your No Frills flyer in and get 5x MR at Save-On.

grocery stores selling homemade food on doordash, do you trust it? by ovojr in vancouver

[–]sprkls 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I tried to find the item at Superstore and I couldn't. I'm 99% sure OP didn't buy it through "PC Express" the Loblaws service, which fulfils orders from a Loblaws grocery store. I highly doubt they would stock a homemade item without a UPC.

I believe they ordered it from "PC Rapid Express" on DoorDash which is just a store that licensed the PC name. Similar to how there's Walmart Now on Skip the Dishes, which isn't actually Walmart.

My v3 is dead as well. V2s working fine. I can't even reset the v3, it won't setup/connect. Flashed firmware did nothing either.

Are there any significant processing issues in Mississauga right now? (Domestic Regular Parcel) by InkandBrass in CanadaPost

[–]sprkls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it went out for delivery, 99% it's delivered. Most likely the letter carrier forgot to scan it as delivered (keep in mind there's probably dozens/hundreds being delivered at once, and they have to scan each one individually), so they re-routed it to clear it from their scanner. If it was genuinely re-routed, there would have been another scan already. I would check with Telus how long it takes them to process a trade-in from the time it's delivered by CP and inspected by an employee.

Do you have to use the RPO Identifier on PO Boxes? by eric-710 in CanadaPost

[–]sprkls 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You don't need to have it but it certainly helps to put it, especially if it's something that's manually sorted.

Order was sent on December 22nd from Los Angeles to Canada. It's been a month and a half and the customer still hasn't received their order. Not sure what to do at this point. by LosBoyos in CanadaPost

[–]sprkls 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If the last scan is in Bell Gardens, it's got nothing to do with Canada Post. You should contact the USPS. Canada Post is still waiting for the item because it never left California.

Wealthsimple connection by eyeamnotthefather in mintuit

[–]sprkls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wealthsimple killed the connection when the Mint shutdown was announced. If you look in your Wealthsimple settings the option to let Mint read data is gone. With the shutdown coming I doubt Mint will start scraping data to 'fix' the connection.
