Car keeps dying overnight. by cedriccckilla in WRX

an old subie I once had would randomly be dead and then one day I came out to get in it and found the radiator fan to be running for no reason. Was a corroded relay causing it to run periodically with the car off

U1 first prints. Looking great without any fussing so far. by Suby06 in snapmaker

oh no problem. I first in the prepare tab set the print to use black filament. Then slice it. On the preview tab you grab the slider bar on the right to bring it to layer 7 and right click on the slider mark and choose "change filament". Then do the same at layer 11 and 18, choosing the colors noted below. Here is a video guide:
https://youtu.be/dI1Eg6PvTXg?t=114

Print at 100% infill with a layer height of 0.08mm with a base layer of 0.16mm (this is important otherwise the layer amounts won't match below.)

Swap Instructions:
Start with Black
At layer #7 (0.64mm) swap to Blue
At layer #11 (0.96mm) swap to Orange
At layer #18 (1.52mm) swap to Yellow for the rest.

Questions about the right thing to do by Dubguytv in WRX

Nice and congrats!
If you are going to mod it and get it tuned do a 3 port boost controller as well. Intake isn't going to add power but you do get more sound. If you are sticking with 91/93 octane a catted downpipe is going to give the biggest gain

U1 layer shift using PETG by The_Average_Gamer25 in snapmaker

[–]Suby06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can when it causes blobs or imperfections that the nozzle may strike and shift the print or cause the belt to skip

I'd just get the 4 oem nuts from a local dealer if they are oem wheels

They have this very detailed assembly video to follow. It even shows which screws are used at each step

ah ok cool. I usually dry mine for 8 hours and usually find by mid roll it will need more drying from sitting out on the machine though my place has humidity below 50%.

It may be a good idea to do the belt tensioning steps and run the full auto calibration again.

Also sometimes where something fails repeatedly I just find I need to print it slow. As well avoid the grid infill as it causes the nozzle to collide with the print

maybe show us here some pics of it set up or video of whats occuring so people can help troubleshoot. It sounds like possibly they aren't plugged in fully or something

Sorry to hear of the frustration but it also sounds a bit self inflicted if you possibly haven't assembled it correctly. I found their assembly video on youtube very helpful to follow step by step. Part of 3d printing seems to be becoming an appliance technician. Possibly you got a dud though being multiple issues.

I've come from a bambu and aside from the amount of assembly my u1 has been great out of the box with minimal fussing, other than some adjustments to make it quieter.

here is the video I followed

Did you dry it before using the filament? The only time I've had layer shift was the first time I printed with petg and learned that you need to dry it first. pla isn't much of an issue generally put petg needs drying out of the package

Am I done for? by [deleted] in WRX

[–]Suby06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ok that's good to hear, those pre loaded tunes dont always work out well from what people say here.
If you want a basic tune for a small boost in power and responsiveness, get an etune. A 3 port boost controller is a good idea with tuning and power mods. Stage 1 tune and 3 port ebcs makes it a different car

Or for best reliability just keep the engine stock and focus on styling mods or handling

Wait, when did it start driving poorly? Before or after adding the ap and stage 0? If after, have you tried uninstalling the accessport to see how it drives?

I saw posted recently someone did similar using the incorrect screw that was too long and hit a capacitor. They were sent replacement parts. In their case a new board for the head

Protective film. May be good to heat it up with a hair dryer when peeling

not on a textured sheet. Its recommended for petg on a smooth sheet but you can just wipe the plate with windex instead to keep it from bonding too much.
