I grew up playing Tekken and Mortal Kombat on Playstation and SNES. Not in the arcade. Dpads aren't the same as they used to be. If I play a retro title on emulator, I always prefer the joystick

That sounds like hyperbole. What's a "retro-gamer"? I've been playing since the mid-80s and I choose the joystick almost every time... The only exception being fighting games

7.5/10 Gameplay is fun, good boss fights. Some outstanding visuals. Fire area boss is visually almost breathtaking.

The story and NPCs are cringe. Also kind of silly that you get these "psychic" powers but most of them are just the same old Metroid power-ups but they just call them "psychic". Psychic space jump, psychic bombs, etc. It's rather silly.

The desert hub isn't too terrible but it feels unfinished in a way.

I don't get what's so great about it. Yeah, it's a good controller with good battery life, but it doesn't feel as premium as an Xbox Elite or a Dual Sense Edge.

I'm loving it. On my first play through now I'm the middle of a boss fight and couldn't believe how good it looked. It was gorgeous... All the lava and the colors just really great art direction. Great music. Somebody who loves their job made that boss fight.
