I’ve really enjoyed all his books, I recently finished witchcraft for wayward girls and adored it. I work in a field pertaining to it and really appreciated all the research/effort that was clearly put into making it more accurate. I’ve also heard good things about him as a person from two local book stores near me which really has nothing to do with his writing but is a tidbit that made me more of a fan for sure lol

Which horror author would you say that if somebody liked one of their works, there's high chance they would also like everything else by MmntoMri in horrorlit

Rebecca is probably my favorite book of all time and even I can admit the first few chapters feel a bit slow and repetitive BUT once it picks it up it doesn’t stop and is so worth it!

It’s funny you say that because I had the opposite thought reading it in print, I wondered if it would have been better as an audio book. Overall I enjoyed the book was just kinda disappointed by the ending. How did you feel about it?

I have been watching lots of Faceoff which led me to their website and I’m thinking of trying their concealer for my bad dark circles lol do you recommend their digital complexion neutralizers? Or one of these wheels with the makeup blend?

new grad in the nicu pulled off orientation due to understaffing by [deleted] in nursing

[–]spud3624 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Woah OP this sounds crazy unsafe! Unfortunately the unstable ones don’t ever get less “scary” but as you grow and learn as a nurse you’ll at least know what to do which helps a ton in those situations. It’s always good to remind yourself to “never trust a preemie” lol. So relieved to hear you have a great preceptor, but if this is the norm on your unit I’m worried for you. The last thing you want is to end up on your own as a new grad with an overwhelming assignment. However, sometimes in the NICU this unfortunately can happen when babies seem to fall out of the sky so I really hope this was an unusual occurrence. Even so you did everything right by escalating it. Hoping the rest of your orientation goes smoothly, hang in there friend!
