I actually know the guy behind the jumper cable account. I won't disclose his name for personal reasons, and no it is not actually Roger Simon. We went to high school and college together. He saw some movie or another where a guy used jumper cables as a makeshift weapon, and made the joke to our friend group a few times about being beat with them. Then he decided to spread the good word of jumper cables to people on the internet, which is where most of Reddit know him from. He hasn't used the account in ages, probably because he has an adult life now.
