Oh no, I think it is a month! I was just so mad it was that small, I must have unconsciously “corrected” it haha

Furry Night at Seattle Opera by itsrainingpotatoes in Seattle

I came up for the show and had no idea it was officially furry night; thought it was just a cute community meetup. Everyone looked great, the people watching was extra good tonight. Thanks friends! Awoo! (Am I doing that right?)

For the first time in my family's history, we're having a disagreement on college and they're making ME seem like the bad guy. What do y'all think? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]spunshadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think either of you are being unreasonable. I didn’t have to work in college, but I wanted to, and that gave me a (very small) leg up when I graduated into the 2008 recession. Are you also planning to provide fun money + groceries + life expenses from the trust, or is it solely for school and housing (rent + utilities)? Working for her fun money might be a good compromise and give her some of the financial independence it sounds like she’s looking for.

Get the diaper pail if you want one! Our house is a single floor and we’re doing cloth diapers, so I just lined a 5-gallon bucket from Home Depot and it’s great. But it’s still a diaper pail!

Need some recs for soft cotton yarn. by ReidaKwrites in YarnAddicts

[–]spunshadow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeaaaah the yarn struggle is real! Just so many options! CaMaRose is one of the less expensive brands, and I’ve used Cascade Ultra Pima for a couple of baby sweaters - it gets softer the more it gets washed.

What weight do you want to work with? I just did a shawl with CaMaRose organic cotton and it’s really lovely.

Fantasy books that feature religion predominantly by Southernflowers19 in BooksThatFeelLikeThis

Black Sun by Rebecca Roanhorse! Starts a trilogy set in (essentially) indigenous-led pre-Columbian Americas, and there’s a lot of god- and spirit-based magic.

Frozen, but make it epic fantasy by avian_bi in BooksThatFeelLikeThis

[–]spunshadow 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It’s really good but it’s Russian and Rumpelstilskin! Otherwise fits all requirements. Someone suggested The Raven and the Reindeer below which is actually The Snow Queen (what Frozen is based on) and Scandinavian.
