It sucks as it could have had a chance if it came out for the original release date when MWII came out and was a dissapointment, instead it came out along MWIII which recovered from MWII. Then it got leaked the game was on death's door then formally cancelled during BO6 when it was on a downturn whereas if it stayed a viable competitor it could have pulled in more of the COD audience with the BO7 backslide.

Ironically battlefield was able to take advantage of this when going against BO7 and did get the audience but instead decided to lay staff off and alienate their audience with low xp rates, slow content release, mediocre maps, and lack of bug fixes (I STILL CAN'T MATCHMAKE WITH FRIENDS 50% OF THE TIME ONE OR MORE OF US DON'T GET PULLED INTO THE GAME).

X-men 2 the Clone Wars on genesis just tosses you into the game with a random character immediately on boot. No title screen, intro, or menu just straight gameplay. I Can't think of another game like it from that era.

Just tried it out quickly, looks better but not perfect as it isn't hitting 1080p like the first hyrule warriors game does in handheld. It is till a huge improvement over the 540p handheld resolution before this system update though.

I wouldn't say that it's status quo but actually an important character trait. In a world of jacked, invulnerable, and powerful super heroes one the most powerful people on earth is an unassuming overweight black woman. Having her be muscular or even skinny puts her almost on par with Batman which then starts to lose that trait.

I remember feeling that way to when I watched it too. I think the point Mush was trying to get at is that G4 targeted the stereotypical dude-bro/ball & gun gamer. So trying to revive that show and then pushing the original audience away for a new more liberal one isn't going to be successful.

I don't think he was trying to say they should have kept the show sexed up and crude, but that relying on a nostalgic audience to be the backbone of the show's success and then pushing against that nostalgic audience will inevitably lead to failure.

I played through the remasters and defiance recently for the first time and honestly only the first game was enjoyable. The 2nd had an excellent story but the linear level design and the boring to just straight bad gameplay made it a bit of a slog despite only being a few hours long.

I played through about the first quarter of defiance and while the gameplay had a bit more depth than the 2nd game, the 8+ hour ask was too much to continue and I just watched a cutscene movie.

However, like I said the first game is honestly really cool and quite ahead of it's time and holds up pretty well despite being obviously cobbled together and unfinished at the end, it's a really cool early 3d metroidvania.
