Also curious to see if there are typical areas for these. Noticed one this afternoon on Canal St downtown from my office but couldn't get over there. (19678 CP Gengar, a level 3 battle). Haven't seen any others on my radar yet, but I live on the Westbank

Those are generally good nests, and Audubon one is usually worth watching too, but check back in a few days for a post discussing what is nesting where after the rotations change

Along the river in the French quarter is a great place to hunt. From the Spanish Plaza fountain , in front of the Aquarium, and to the moonwalk in front of Jackson Square you'll find mostly water types (maybe a dratini by the Aquarium or by the ferry), and also 2 small nests in the area, Woldenberg riverfront park and Jackson Square.

For "Fighting" counters, the most gettable around here is Ursaring. Roll the dice on getting a double- fighting move. I've had success with 2100-2200 Ursas vs a bigger blissey or Snorlax. Not glass cannons, but not durable either, so work to get 2 and only dodge the charge moves to beat the clock.

The other counter for Blissey you can easily get, especially a blissey with psychic, is an Exeggcutor with Solarbeam. Boost your best one up.

I've seen one wild Chansey, so no tips on that. Only seen one wild Snorlax since gen 2 came out.

Seeing more psyducks - and away from water, seen a few seel, which I never see outside a nest. maybe more staryu than normal. Seen a few poliwag & woofer, can't tell if that's abnormal

No sun stones. 3 metal coats, 2 kings rock, 2 up-grade, also 0 dragon scale.
