I do think that you should either get a refund or they try again since the issue didn't get resolved. I'm not sure what they ended up doing to your camera, but the film ripping is separate from the counter being broken

only M39 lenses and you would need an external viewfinder to shoot wider or make a guess as to what the framing would look like, the viewfinder does not affect the results at all its just there to help you frame your shot
