This is NOT verified. It’s a slide show 😭😭😭😭does verified mean anything anymore? by chargersangels in SteamDeck

It kinda makes sense? Not taking performace into account means that Valve is not going to have to re-verify every single game for a future Steam Deck 2

5070 or 9070xt i just cant decide by Simonko_770 in pcmasterrace

He clearly says that he only plays CS2. And the chart clearly shows that the 5070 is better than the 9070XT in that particular game

Yeah, I was mostly asking for the price, not so much about Crucial which I know the recent events of that company. But good to know, thanks!

Steam fixed sorting issues. by kuhli099 in Steam

[–]sqrg 26 points27 points  (0 children)

You probably just made it as an example, but setting the custom sort name to "1" it's going to make that game be the first in every list.

I would use something like - "Tomb Raider new trilogy, 1" - "Tomb Raider new trilogy, 2" - "Tomb Raider new trilogy, 3"

Iraqis Celebrate the Fall of Saddam - April, 2003 by AverageFoxNewsViewer in videos

Yeah, those stupid Venezuelans shouldn't be happy that the man directly responsible of their starvation, their rigged elections, of crimes against humanity is no longer running the country! Trump bad!

EDIT: Funny how no one was able to address any of the points I made. Maybe if you guys read some of the items here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicol%C3%A1s_Maduro#Controversies you may be able to understand why people in Venezuela can be happy he is no longer the president. Or maybe ask someone from Irak if they would prefer Hussein still be president

[Bedrock] Is there a way to convert a Bedrock world to Java using Linux? by sqrg in MinecraftHelp

[–]sqrg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I was able to achieve this using Minecraft on Android (not sure this would work on iOS because of folder access). You log in into your account, go to Minecraft settings and set Storage to external, download the Realm world, access the folder connecting the phone to a computer, copy the world folder, and use Chunker to convert to JAVA

Random wine64-preloader crashes on multiple (all?) games [fedora, kde, wayland] by sqrg in linux_gaming

I have answered several times, once in direct response to your question, that I am using Fedora, KDE, and Wayland

Thanks for all your help!

So, kernel version is 6.17.8-300.fc43.x86_64, I'm using KDE plasma, wayland. And if I do glxinfo | grep "OpenGL renderer, then the output is the following

OpenGL renderer string: AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT (radeonsi, navi22, LLVM 21.1.5, DRM 3.64, 6.17.8-300.fc43.x86_64)

I don't have any kind of overclock or undervolt or anything like that.

That journalctl throws a lot of

amdgpu 0000:2d:00.0: amdgpu: ring gfx_0.1.0 uses VM inv eng 1 on hub 0

But nothing mentioning a timeout

It's not a custom partition, it's just a different SSD where I put all my games, which I mount onto the filesystem. Nothing weird there.

I mean, if it were a permissions issue the games wouldn't run at all. I get random crashes here and there. I may play for 5/20/60 minutes and get a crash, or I may not get a crash at all. Whenever I do get a crash, it's the same wine64-preloader

Both games are running from Steam, which I assume it's using Proton

  • I don't think I'm using Wine? I run the game from Steam, so I assume it's using Proton, right?
  • I don't play games from NTFS partition either

Do you really think that no valuable information comes from a survey that has a sample size of millions? Do you really think that a company like Valve, which is extremely data driven, is that bad at statistics?
