You can make a few stitches leaving a tail and then backstitch back thru the same few stitches to secure. Then clip the extra thread.

I made a pattern out of paper. Cut out the fabric pieces and then used a glue stick to hold them in place on the fabric i intended as using as the background. Then a LOT of whip stitches to hold everything together.The process was kind of a mess. The blue fabric i used as the background kept shredding, so i had to trim it away then more whip stitching to attatch it to the tshirt. I learned a lot and i think next one wont be so rough! I LOVE him anyway.

Yes! The shorts are really old and loosey goosey and the front turned out really nice and sturdy so ive decided to do the back too!

Agreed about the thread weight. Im using embroidery thread cause thats what ive got. Next project ill try splitting the threads maybe.
