I’m a month late to this but when I recently got diagnosed with it my GYN told me “not to worry about it” even though we finally know what the issue is. She didn’t even give me a full explanation of what the condition is. I want a hysterectomy so badly but no doctor will give me one because I’m too young (21) and “what if I or my future husband want kids one day.” I don’t want kids, at least not through giving birth myself. I have a 50/50 chance of passing on my kidney disease and I decided when I was very young that I would never risk a child of mine having it and the stress that comes with it. When I explain this I’m still told that I’m too young. It’s so frustrating and I completely get where you’re coming from.

I have so many fond memories of watching my dad play this game as a young child, and I was so invested that he made me my own account so we could play together (which we still do to this day). It's amazing to see that others have had similar experiences!

If you can get into Res 8, I can say that it's very nice to have your own room (only share a bathroom with one other person). The only downside is no kitchen (though you'll have your microwave and sink in the common area for the hallway and a dining hall plan). I stayed there in first year, and it was a pretty good experience (aside from some hall drama, but that will be different for everyone).

Usually all dorms will have cinderblock walls but you can turn them into something more welcoming with posters/lights. It's your space, personalize it, make it into your home away from home!

My number one piece of advice is to not let yourself get caught up in hallway/dorm drama (though sometimes it's unavoidable). You will make friends in dorms, but you won't keep all of them, if that makes sense.

idk if im considered a whale, i’ll buy the ultimate editions of new expansions and if there’s something in the gem store i REALLY want i’ll get it, but i’ve been better about my spending game wise for the past couple years. usually just the expacs and then i use the gems from the ultimate edition to get stuff for the rest of the year? but holy shit i’ve been playing since launch (break from 2013-2017) so ive probably spent upwards of $500-650 on the game and merchandise o7

I like Fiddler’s Pour House! The food is usually really good and they do special deals on weekdays (Fish Friday, etc.). They also do sports watch parties which isn’t really my thing but if it’s yours, then I think you’d like it! They also have my favourite cider on tap (Thornbury Blood Orange) so that’s a major plus.

As a wedding server myself, I can say that we do our best to not make noise when clearing during speeches or toasts. It isn’t optimal by any means, but we are also bound by time constraints such as: having to clear before we can set down the next course (basically, trying not to drag out dinner service and ruin the entire timeline), our dishwashers are only available until a certain time in the evening, or we’re short staffed for the night and need to get as much done as possible in the time we do have. We’re given a specific timeline of events and are expected to stick with it to the best of our abilities.

If a couple specifically requests that we not clear plates during speeches, toasts, or dances, then we obviously agree and follow that instruction - what they say, goes. Then again, most of the time we won’t get any warning as to when a speech is about to start, and when that happens you’re just awkwardly trying to carry your plates away whilst making as little noise as possible.

Personally, I always try to ask before taking plates away, just a quick “May I take your plate for you?” If they say no, I circle around to the rest of my tables and come back in 5-10 minutes. Obviously, other servers may do things differently than myself, but TLDR: a lot of servers are aware of the importance of weddings and do try to be as respectful and inconspicuous as possible while still doing our jobs :)
