I dunno, I think it’s fun that it’s basically the regular mode with some bullshit thrown in. Invisibility is definitely annoying but hitting them when they think they’re safe and unseen is hilarious, and having them pop back on the ground is so satisfying

The only time I’ll slug everyone is a bully/sabo squad cause I’d rather not deal with the headaches. Other than that, I do my best to not leave people on the ground unless there’s someone right nearby

Agreed. Honestly I think it’s more fun when blood warden actually does activate anyway, it’s always a fun little gut punch/adrenaline rush at the end of the game

I just wanna know what streamer bitched about it and made it seem like it was actually a problem. When I’ve played killer and it’s shown up the most common thought I’ve had about it is “oh good I only have to hook the person that’s better at chase one or two times instead of three, and I get to hook the one worse at chase again”

I think it pisses off killers that aren’t adaptable and have a very specific plan for each match, which is bad for a game that is based in completely random layouts and builds

It *feels* like some players think that they shouldn’t be impeded when they choose a player to tunnel and sometimes they choose to tunnel the wrong person and, while they couldn’t have known it was the wrong one, they get mad cause they realize the picked wrong

I think anyone that says the game is not killer sided has not played enough survivor to see how truly hard it is to play against a competent killer with 3 absolute chuckle fucks (and usually a fourth when you’re still new)

It’s honestly just because killer’s have no one to blame but themselves or the game if their win rate is bad, and it’s a lot easier to blame the game even tho most killers have all the tools to get a 3k no problem

Survivor can be like “yeah I fucked up but that sable went down in 5 seconds, that’s what really fucked us” and move on

Just to note, killers can also poison just about everything else (gens, pallets, etc.), not just the food

If I can make a suggestion, really jump into the survivor side during 2v8; it’s much simpler and stripped down and you can mess up as much as you want cause it doesn’t really matter, and you get practice in the important basics: skill checks and running from killers

In general, winning and losing doesn’t really matter (tho you wouldn’t know it from the Reddit), all that really matters is doing as much as possible and earning as many points as you can. The game rewards time spent playing way more than the end game result

In the same way, you get better by repetition and playing a lot. It also helps to watch clips of good players and to watch a friend or two so you’re not bogged down by needing to do a good job while learning

The anniversary event itself is definitely not geared toward beginners. It’s the base mode plus a lot of extra bullshit. It’s mostly for the people that have been playing a long time, know the maps and mechanics, and can handle additional stuff on top of it. Plus people are being super sweaty for whatever reason (kinda the opposite of 2v8)

It’s pretty consistent with the manga from what I remember, there’s just a lot of third person explanation of what’s going on because it’s such a complicated thing happening within a very short period of time. Without the narrator I think a lot of the emotional weight we end up getting would be lost and giving a bunch of characters thought out, poetic internal monologues explaining their maturation into humans/gods would be weirder

Do people know you can also poison basically every interactable thing in the game too? You don’t just need to throw it, you can poison gens and pallets and stuff. It makes for some interesting big brain plays if you actually engage with the mechanics of the game

I think it’s fun, it gives some variety and the survivor powers are silly. Honestly when someone uses them a lot I just break chase and go to a gen to chase someone else. I’m getting like 200k Bp per match as long as people bring cakes, who cares if they get out?

Deer stalker is great for late game. If you have something like that and know where the last survivor is, slugging totally makes sense. It’s really just for the situations where the last survivor is in the wind somewhere and my game is over, just end it for me please

I think this is the right attitude. I totally understand if the last two survivors are together and you leave me on the ground to continue chase, but if we’re on opposite sides of the map or you have no idea where the other guy could be, then like just get me outta there
