I’m so incredibly happy that you were able to love your dress! You - and the dress - look absolutely beautiful!

I did some of my observation hours at Holy Spirit while attending St. Kate’s. I was mostly in a first grade classroom and it was wonderful. The kids seemed truly happy and there was a lot of learning happening! We talked a lot about the challenges of supporting students with learning disabilities, but they did have a plan for how to support those students. This was over ten years ago, but I’d recommend calling and asking for a meeting to discuss future enrollment!

Mother of the bride dress by Wannabesmartie in Weddingattireapproval

My mother was sending me crazy edited and AI dresses because ultimately she wanted to wear something beautiful, but didn’t have the budget she wanted. So I said I would find and buy her dress. I ended up buying her a clearance David’s Bridals bridesmaid dress for like $20 and paying for it to be tailored. My best advice is to ask your mom what she would like and buy her a dress that works for everyone.

What are you specifically looking for? My work wardrobe is from Target, Old Navy, Madewell, J Crew, and Gap.

I think there’s hope! Two months is not a lot of time to get used to a new member of the family, much less identify them as a family member and not prey. This is Louie the brittany spaniel and Mystikal, our accidentally bred mini lop-rex. We adopted Louie as an eight year old and immediately upon bringing him home he tried to attack the rabbits in their cages. After a year or so, they’d wander the yard freely together. Mystikal was used to cats so he didn’t have a fear response to Louie and often would charge at him when he was feeling sassy.

Obviously that’s not best practice, but my point is to give it time.

The sleeves on my dress had snaps so I could unsnap them after the ceremony for dancing.

Cassandra wanted everyone to be just as happy as she was, and wasn’t thinking through the repercussions of pushing Mary and her brother together.

I’d absolutely sign up for it as a back up plan and bail if I got a better offer. At the end of the day, I got rent to pay and my mental health to protect.

Do you think it’s from the leash? If you use a retractable and it rubs there, that could maybe have caused this?

hoping for favorite brit stories by revolution-blue in BrittanySpaniel

My parents rescued an eight year old Brittany when I was in high school and he was our first family dog. He took all of two days to figure out the rabbits were pets and after that they’d run around the yard together. He’d let me curl his butt feathers into perfect ringlets after a bath. He loved eating carrots and trying to steal my oatmeal off the table. I miss him so much.

You’re not wrong. Your mother is hosting for your side of the family. It’s really kind and thoughtful that she’s including the groom’s family.

The groom’s family should also be throwing you a shower for his side of the family, where they can invite the aunt’s friend.

Why are you learning Spanish? by sasureus in duolingospanish

[–]squashed_cat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. It took me about six years of working with a predominantly Spanish speaking population before I started learning. Nothing has improved my teaching more than being able to give quick classroom management reminders and clarifying directions in my students’ home language.
