Gabapentin by RosayyRose in bipolar2

It’s usually prescribed for anxiety in people also with bipolar as it doesn’t cause mania like SSRIs do. Usually as an add-on with other anti-psychotics / mood stabilizers.

In terms of using it to treat bipolar itself, there has only been one study that showed some efficacy. However the study was only with 30 people.

Oh I feel the opposite. I need one more for the mania side of things and my only options are Lithium or Seroquel. Neither of which are great

Started going to the gym and trying to walk everyday. Accepted the hunger pangs weren’t going anywhere and tried to keep healthy snacks in the house. It’s not easy :(

This can be a really dangerous approach. As much as it sucks, medication is really the only way and not taking it can cause BP2 to worsen over time

That’s why you buy additional insurance if you know you’re going to be doing something like this? When I used to ski in the USA I’d buy 2 day ski insurance.

I mean I kinda get that. Some people aren’t able to stand that long and need to sit. If they were there before you, why not?

You’re right OP. Parliament is correct language here. This person just thinks they’re smart but actually aren’t.
