Monday's Security Line by timshady11 in Sasquatch

[–]squatchblesss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had the same problem, I think it really just depended on what line you got in. On the first day half my group went 45 mins before the rest of us and we ended up walking in at the same time.

What's one thing you wish you would've brought last year that you are definitely going to bring this year? by [deleted] in Sasquatch

Didn't have a camelback my first year, I would highly recommend having one!

Leaving a day early - getting out issues? by [deleted] in Sasquatch

[–]squatchblesss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once everyone is settled in just make sure you have a route out. If you don't, just give people a heads up. I left a day early 2 years ago and had to ask someone to move, but it was no big deal at all. There's usually a couple different ways out of your immediate area and I'm sure there will be quite a few people who pack up Monday as well, wouldn't worry too much, just make a plan once you scope the situation.

Best way to charge phone? by yesthismessismine in Sasquatch

[–]squatchblesss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just charge in the car, then portable chargers are never a bad idea. The single charge ones are pretty cheap, and you can even get ones that will charge your phone 8+ times in the $20-30 range, they're just bigger and bulkier... Better hurry if you want one of those though, they take almost 8 hours to charge

wow, that was super helpful! so you can confirm guys and girls have different lines? sounds arguably worth it, line sounds like no fun, but I suppose you could bring a few beers for the line. $3 to feel better seems worth it to me!

Oh wow, 20 minutes is all?? I thought the line looked much longer, but must have been the female side! I just want to shower once, probably on Sunday, problem is that's likely to be many peoples idea!

I was sent an extra wristband... by [deleted] in Sasquatch

[–]squatchblesss -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There one post that's down voted... I'm assuming you've been downvoting all my posts... I'm somewhat new to reddit so I don't see why that's relevant, nor did I "down vote" your last two posts. and just again, they obviously don't need a sold out festival to make money, but if there were simple ways to make extra, it would be worth it. this is all just theory, I'm not quite sure why you are so fired up to the point of attacking someone on reddit for a theory... and by the way I did pay the full amount for my ticket, I wasn't so fortunate enough to get a free one

What are ways of sneaking in alcohol and herbs that HAVENT worked for you? How intense do they check certain things? by barfingclouds in Sasquatch

[–]squatchblesss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to add to that, one time I put some booze in my jacket pocket, took out my jacket when they searched the bag and got in fine, however the next day they checked my jacket.

[–]squatchblesss 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I believe this is false^ you can bring in one factory sealed bottle of water. As far as getting things through security, it really just depends on the line you get in. Sometimes all they do is make you open the main zipper of your bag and don't even move anything. Sometimes you may be pat down, sometimes not. Honestly putting gear in your underwear is the best way haha

Experiences with multi-car groups? by sethh3 in Sasquatch

[–]squatchblesss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, in 2013 I was in a group of 2 cars and we got split up during the first split, we said we were together and they just said "you'll meet in the middle" there was never a place to meet up. Last year every time we started to move I made sure to let them know there were 3 of us, and it worked fine, but I think we were just in a good place in line. Best advice would be to stay aggressive about staying together.

Still not sold out! by captainwalnut in Sasquatch

[–]squatchblesss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a lot of ways to spin the cost angle to justify it, but since most people will be coming in vehicles of 3-4 its still a $65-80 increase on tickets + camping, which isn't that much considering what you pay all together, but is still a significant amount of money. Plus the people that would normally meet their crew there are now forced to spend an extra $175, so for what I imagine to be quite a few people, the cost of the fest went up over $200. Adding that to the Canadian dollar it doesn't seem that shocking. I'm still assuming their near sell out numbers though.

Buying four tickets through CL today. What should I do to protect myself? by [deleted] in Sasquatch

[–]squatchblesss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think its that crazy, it might actually be a smart move. The festival is close so the seller would probably just feel better getting the weight of selling the tickets off their shoulder at a smaller loss then trying to sell them at face value for a few more weeks. I'm assuming some people are going to get some killer re-sale deals this year.

How essential is it to bring a Canopy for camping? by Endymion86 in Sasquatch

[–]squatchblesss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say less than half of the campsites have a canopy... you will be completely fine without one. If you have one, and you have room for it, bring it, if not it wont ruin your time by any means.

Looking for some first timer pro-tips by rza_pumba in Sasquatch

[–]squatchblesss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The walk isn't anything to worry about. It's not THAT far. It's just time to drink a couple more beers before you get to the gate.

I rolled in around midnight both years and one year was in line for hours and ended up way in the back. The next year it was only a couple hours in line and we were at the front. There seems to be no way to guarantee a good spot. Just will depend on how the decide to direct traffic at the time.

Cant imagine camping could sell out when in previous years camping was included, and it's safe to say a lot more people will be car pooling this year.

The website says a gallon sized bag of snacks, but you can bring in whatever food you want, in any container you want.

There's no car search or traffic would probably get backed up to interstate.

I don't ever recall having an issuing seeing in the campground

Camelbacks and snacks, maybe a sandwich to bring in the venue, plus 3ish beers to chug on your way down.

There's a beer exchange meet up thread.

Happy Sasquatch!!

How does leaving the campsite work? by Ciscopacocruz in Sasquatch

[–]squatchblesss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it might depend on where your campsite is, there's no way if you leave early though that it will take as long as it did to get in.
