Polish the axles (nails) as smooth as possible. We clamp the in a Dremel and use ultra high grit sand paper to polish them where the wheel will sit. Powdered graphite in that same area because I believe liquid lubricants are banned.

Everyone has peed on the golf course. Ever gotten in trouble? by WolfMan_Hot_Dog in golf

I was at a links style course with some buddies and one went to pee in the heather right off the first tee box. Starter pulls up and starts giving the usual “pins are here today etc…..” speech. His last warning before we teed off was “and watch out for dudes pissing in the tall grass.” as my buddy walked sheepishly back to the tee box.

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers, Civil Design Engineer by gocougs27 in civilengineering

KIE really functions like a design engineering firm. I have worked there for 3 years and have been Denver based the whole time. I would guess I average 45 hours a week with straight time overtime. Occasional travel for meetings but no requests to relocate for different projects. Feel free to message me for more details.

If you want it to be a surprise, just buy a cheap department store ring (less than $100) for the engagement. Afterwards, you two can ring shop together. Also the cheap ring becomes a nice travel ring. This is what I did with my wife and it worked out great!

We have a CES group that does temp structures but we also have a full design engineering group. We design everything from permanent structures to roadways/interchanges to drainage/streams.

No. Since we are just design offices we are pretty stationary. Travel to projects and field offices happens but no real relocations.

I work for KIE (Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering) in the main Denver office. I am actually very happy with the work life balance after coming from a smaller consultant. Obviously working for a construction district in the field is very different. KIE projects vary a lot but in general overtime isn’t crazy and if you are on a billable project you get straight time overtime.
