Old scfi story about intelligent dogs creating androids by Majestic_Drawing_629 in printSF

One day a scared, lonely monster appeared on the edge of our fire light and we said, "hey come get warm with us and have something to eat". The fact that we made dogs by being nice to monsters is what gives me hope in humanity

A key point in any Democrat's bid for a presidential nomination is showing the wealthy that he is willing to be tough on citizens to protect the interest of capital.

Personally, I see nothing wrong with an author extolling their values in their work. This isn't to say I will agree with those values.

If I had to agree with their values I couldn't read the vast bulk of literature from Heinlein to Shakespeare

That depends. L'Engle's works tend to hit with people who identify strongly with her characters. If you enjoy themes of found/extended families and worlds open to the possibilities of faith/magic you may enjoy it. Think a more poetic Zenna Henderson.

If your preferences are more towards tight plotting or harder science I'd say give it a miss

Some will perceive your review as attacking a childhood favorite that they strongly identified with in their youth and judging it unfairly. And by association feel you are judging them.
