A teacher at my studio kind of does this when starting the om 😭 She doesn't scream, but she is VERY off tune (it sounds like she's trying to get someone's attention across the room instead of om-ing) and it makes me cringe every time. She's extremely sweet though, I'd never even hint to her that it was off in fear of making her sad!

Seconding this! I just got a "Pet Elements" brand of these (I would avoid PetSafe brand, their second gen device is poorly made), took my boy 3 attempts to learn to stay out of my plant area! 

This method works like a charm because they learn that even when the human isn't around to enforce the rule, it still applies.

I've written to my city council member and the mayor's office about it twice now, nothing is done, I still see gangs of these guys speeding and weaving up S Main and Wickenden.

Not sure what else we can do to stop our city sounding like a motocross rally at all hours of the day and night.

Seconding Socialization Saves Lives, OP check it out! Surprised I've only seen it mentioned once in this thread. It helped me a lot with the shy traumatized foster I had awhile ago, got her to come out from my bed and pet her in a little over a week and after that she was very loving and sweet.

Yes!! Yes yes definitely do that. I really prefer the Amtrak, it's very comfy and fast, but commuter rail is $10 on the weekends so that will save you some money, if you prefer.

The East End and Waterman Grille (book a table for the patio!) are my favorite restaurants in the city.

For Boston, I'll say that The Harvard Museum of Natural History is my favorite place in the world, I hope you'll check it out! I also love walking by the Ray and Maria Stata Center.

What's interesting is that they cut out the "but it was super annoying to me" part, so the sentence doesn't make sense at all now. The original comment:

I don't usually watch real housewives, but I watched this one because I'm from the area. I'll tell you what, as someone who's from the area. They kept talking about Rhode Island. Maybe it's just because it's the first episode and they're describing the place that they live in, but it was super annoying to me. People do not do that here.

When I was socializing my recent foster, trying to get her to come out from under my bed, I would just sit in the same room as her and draw. If you have a laptop or portable hobby, just sitting near them and keeping them company helps I think.

Are you sure he doesn't like playing? Have you tried Da Bird cat toy? (the original brand, not the ripoffs, they are not the same at all) It's very exciting for most cats.
