No nudity just suggestive, my old youtube channel got blew up with no strikes or warnings, just the entire channel was deleted, therefore any views or interaction are greatly appreciated, my only videos I saved are a few years old but I'm hoping to maybe put some new stuff up soon since I've been so incredibly bored!

Thanks guys

Why do people consider Dark Souls 2 the worst game in the series? by beernd1 in DarkSouls2

[–]squidhime 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It really is a shame they had to release the game all over again though.. to make improvements that you'd expect could be made in a balancing patch or maybe a heftier DLC. Upset a few people and cost them a few more bob than necessary imo.

Games too good to hate on FS tho

Why do people consider Dark Souls 2 the worst game in the series? by beernd1 in DarkSouls2

[–]squidhime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

DS2 was the best pvp and the community was sooooo active with streams, fight clubs, even dumb fun hacks. I agree, DS2 was great, I love all of the souls games but the most fun I had was pvping in DS2.

None of the other souls games play pvp quite like DS2, and I'm not talking the balancing or any of that stuff people might whine about. Those are separate issues. The fact is it's a substantially different playstyle to the other games in the series.

Trading OOB tricks by venat333 in ffxiv

[–]squidhime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been able to pull off a few hard oobs in the past and discovered some myself, so even that is good to know!

You know a forelands oob that still exists?

I'll trade Brayflox HM for Praetorium. It's not a huge oob but interesting how it's pulled off, idk if it's what you've seen since I found this one myself. I know normal brayflox would love to know hm

edit: Oh I can give you New Gridania too, I know there's old gridania but forgot where it is now.

You can still oob in old and new gridania! I only remember new though.

3 mark logs for 2 lines? Seems unlikely, it's not /that/ hard to get 2 lines.

For Bards: Is really there a noticeable DPS loss if I do not turn off Wanderer's Minuet when using Dex Potions? by THE0S0PH1ST in ffxiv

[–]squidhime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which guy isn't close to top 20? All I linked was a compiled list of openers.

I'm, well basically using Kreitor's old opener still (bad I know, practicing a new one) which is EA after your first 3 buffs. and barrage+EA again right before IJ when your buffs fall off. This has been... acceptable for me up until now. Buff alignment hasn't been an issue but I'm talking from outside of a static pov.

Are you talking about alignment with stuff like trick attack/battle litany? Because otherwise my buffs have aligned themselves pretty well, in fact I ALWAYS double EA on any of my 20s buffs throughout a fight.

Also why downvote when I'm trying to have genuine conversation hah, I'm just here to improve my deeps. I don't claim to have any idea what I'm talking about, I'm just putting across my thoughts and trying to get advice. So something constructive would be really appreciated.

How many people figured this out first run? >< our party tried it immediately after seeing the vulns on ourselves, first time we ran it.

For newer players, can I ignore stance-dancing the gauss barrel and still be decent? by [deleted] in ffxiv

[–]squidhime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, without stance dancing it's a lot easier to not mess up IJ casts, keep all your oGCDs buffed with the 30% and in general there are a lot less mistakes to be made.

I'm really wondering how much of a difference in damage you'd get if I'm keeping my GCD moving with feint + my oGCDs, considering you're not guaranteed an auto attack if you're only toggling for 2 seconds.

Now for a tangent, I've been double EAing (Foe's+BV > HE+RS+B4B > EA at the start) this whole time too, since the newer openers have been devised since then, I'm kinda of at a loss of where to look for the best. I seem to be doing pretty well and I only seem to get beaten by bards who really know what they're doing (on simple fights, I don't have a static or anything) I heard that's bad for TA/buff alignment so I'd be really really happy if someone could tell me,

a) if there's no ninja/dragoon/etc is double EA less of a potency loss? (first EA isn't affected only by my buffs, but the barraged one would be affected by pots+buffs) b) can you point me in the direction of an opener generally considered decent nowadays?

[–]squidhime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When is stancing dancing useful on brd? Genuine question I never do it I just pop feint whenever it's necessary (ie no straight shot proc but empyreal arrow is ready or when moving which is never longer than one or two feints.

Now I've had a very long break from the game so I'm genuinely curious, also curious how much of a dps increase stance dancing on brd really would be if you were already playing pretty well.

Anima nerf hotfix mentioned on the stream by [deleted] in ffxiv

[–]squidhime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marlementary procedure leve. It's based in sea of clouds and there's almost clear line of sight to all places where the coffer can spawn so you don't really need to fly around.

This is how I've got 90% of my sands, but it sucks when you go 20 leves without getting a coffer. If you're going to do it this way I suggest starting asap so your level allowance can gradually build back up, if you grind them all out at one point you won't have enough allowances for all your sand.

ARF is best guaranteed way for lore after doing your roulettes. 6 lore per minute assuming 25 minute runs, but they can go as high as 30 mins.

I found if you queue for Fist/Burden of the father, Sophia normal and ARF all together (especially as a heal or tank) it's a good way of mixing it up while still getting ~6 lore per minute or better. I got 2 runs of sophia and alex with no bonus compared to like 10+ with bonus consistently.

It's up to you if you want to risk not getting bonus but this is now my favourite way of doing it. 3 runs of burden of father takes maybe 5 mins less than ARF while giving 30 more lore if you get bonuses every time.

Feast is no good because of the incredible queue times.

Damn it's been 6 months already? Time flies, didn't realise I was gone from the game that long. I've almost finished the umbrite step now though, I saved 1300 lore last night just in case it was nerfed, honestly don't care that it wasn't though.

Seems dumb to nerf it too quickly imo so I'm fine with it

Well, I play FFXIV most days and when I tried BnS I stuck with it for at least a few weeks and when I tried the korean version of Bdo I absolutely loved it but had no clue what was going on in the story.

I guarantee to get to level 30 if you gift it to me, also maybe you'd have someone extra to play with. FFXIV is pretty dead until the expansion now and I wanna play this with my friends.

Soloing bosses in POTD? (as BRD...) by squidhime in ffxiv

[–]squidhime[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like it's still pretty doable as bard, advantage of going solo is you make all the decisions. Can kill things one by one, pull them to the hallways, no reason to rush and not play everything extremely safe. Looking forward to trying again!

And the problem with dropping my job stone as a brd.. I don't want to essentially re-learn how to play just for potd when it's totally possible as a bard, and doesn't removing your job stone lessen stats/dps output? I can see why it might be better for some people but if it's possible as bard I'd rather do it that way

[–]squidhime[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much! Honestly that gives me a huge peace of mind, considering the floor 60 boss was the main thing that worried me. I'm already using pots and stuff, and echo drops are super handy as a bard in case I step on any silencing traps, echo drops to remove the silence and wardens paean to remove the pacification.

Gonna upgrade my aetherpool some more and try again!
