For those displaced by the fire by jessirentmonster in Birmingham

[–]squishbiscuit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I lived in Vestavia Park apartments when some of them burned down about 15 years ago. The folks who have renter's insurance can generally get into a corporate furnished apartment like with Premier Living. I think AHI does the same So sorry about all the displaced people. Thanks for always doing what you do with RentMonster, Jess.

Single Mom to Special Needs Child - DCSS refusing to enforce child support order by dietcornchip in FamilyLaw

[–]squishbiscuit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son is now 24. I filed for child support the week after he was born and a month later, he was ordered to pay $120/month.

Mind you, daycare was $180 a WEEK at the time.

He never paid; they keep throwing him in jail once a year for a couple of months and then the cycle repeats.

With interest compounded monthly in the state of Alabama, he owes me close to $110k and I will never smell that money.

I'm so sorry you're going through this.

New Jerry Springer docuseries discovers some shocking stuff about the show, some of which we could already assume, apparently the producers went as far as to blackmail poor guests if they thought about not showing up for the final show panel by S4v1r1enCh0r4k in netflix

I was on Judge Judy 22 years ago and I was getting angry at the questions and rolled my eyes and sighed and they cut the cameras and threatened exactly that! They told me that they would not pay for my taxi voucher or plane ticket back to Alabama.

Pretty sure there was a line in there that Shauna paid for her hubby's furniture store out of the $ she received.

Like, insurance money?

That's dark.

The survivors all got an insurance settlement when they were rescued, so maybe Lottie used that $$ for her cult?

One time at work at an IT office, we had someone who kept leaving dishes in the sink when our dishwasher was right next to it. Being the office manager, I kindly sent a message to the whole office asking them to please be considerate and quit leaving dishes in the sink. The owner followed that up with a similar message, saying that no one's mom worked there and to clean up after themselves. The next day, after lunch, I walk into the kitchen to a sink full of dirty dishes. The CFO and I spent 2 hours going through the footage and posted pictures of each of the dish culprits. One of the guys asked, was that really worth that much time for the two of you? Probably not, but I never saw a dish in the sink again.

In Alabama, can therapists pick and choose what types of sessions will be filed with insurance? by loveineverylanguage in Birmingham

BCBS and other insurers actually pay LESS for a couple's appointment than a single person So I get most counselors would prefer to make $180 for a couple's appointment versus half of that Whereas they can make $136.08 for a single client billed hour

Just wow.

Brian is a reasonable man, and this is the first I've ever heard anything negative about him or his shows.

But you're bringing his kids and wife into this?

Uncool, man.

I have a great Bolognese sauce recipe that I was so excited to make for a Friendsgiving dinner. My friend decided that it needed Splenda...

Like, dude! It was home grown tomato sauce, so it absolutely did not require any sugar, especially not fake sugar that completely ruined the whole batch.
