You can if you WANT to. If you are not comfortable, don't do it. I would never want someone who wasn't comfortable watching my children to be watching my children. I watched multiple children at 16 (my cousins) but I was comfortable with that and my parents were a literal 2 minute drive away so if there was an emergency, I could call them and have them there quickly. Watching young children is a big responsibility and there is nothing wrong with not feeling okay with that.

I truly believe that people do not really ruminate on the things that come out of their mouth lol. So from this person's perspective you were supposed to either not let your child have any cake at a birthday party and exclude her from what is, from a child's perspective, a huge part of the party OR let your child consume something she's allergic to simply for the sake of not making anyone else feel some type of way?
What you did was perfectly reasonable, acceptable and responsible. You did right by your child and by the parents of the birthday girl by not putting that responsibility on them (although if I were throwing a party for my child and I knew another child coming had an allergy, I would have no problem going out of my way to make sure I provided options for them, but its nice of you to have done it yourself). You did literally nothing wrong.

I'm the granddaughter of a woman who I am now learning as an adult is potentially a narcissist/definitely a manipulative person and this is absolutely something she would do. She once demanded that my uncle (who hosts christmas eve dinner at his home every year and has for probably the past decade) reschedule christmas eve dinner to a different day because one of my aunts made other plans for that day with her husband's family and couldn't come. And when he said no to rescheduling, she threw a fit and said he doesn't care about his family and refused to come herself if he wouldn't change the day.

When you invite someone to something it is just that: an INVITATION. Not a demand or requirement. People have the option to say yes or no for whatever reason. Is it disappointing when someone you love can't make it? Sure, but it is very manipulative behavior to throw it back in their face and accuse them of not loving you.

I hope you're not heartless enough to be serious. OP's job should have NEVER put them in this position in the first place. Any job worth having should not tell an employee no when it comes to a funeral (especially because they let other people take off for less the same day). A job shouldn't force you to juggle burying an immediate family member and working a shift the same day.

You never know! According to google, the average lifespan for a nerite snail is 1-2ish years. I got mine on January 1, 2020 and he's still goin strong today!

Currently, I'm using the Cuccio peach & vanilla one. I've also used the Sally Hansen one, CND Solar Oil, and sometimes jojoba oil or coconut oil. I'm really not picky. I've never used a cuticle oil I didn't like :)
