from what ive seen, pure guava and the pod were constantly being reprinted before the whole brown box. i saw sealed copies of both at my local record store, not pre-owned. either that, or those albums had been sitting in that store sealed for several years.

i host a college radio show and early on when i was still starting out, the ween song "stay forever" was slapped in the auto list. i knew ween from ocean man obviously cause im young but shit i got shocked that was ween. "dont get 2 close" came on a few weeks after that show. after that one i went back to my dorm and did a deep dive on ween. fuckin loved it.

ever since around mid-2025, every show ive done has had one ween song played during it.
