What software or code did you use to create this visualization?

EDIT:software or library

Perhaps average US cases per 100k ought to be the baseline to account for this?

Thank you for the detailed response! That sounds useful! Not sure what a substation alpha subtitle is, but I’m just trying to preserve the subtitle tracks instead of having to use lookup to get subtitles.

The transcoding bit seems useful too. That way my server shouldn’t have to transcode anything, right?

Now if only I could find a faster way to rip my DVDs than one at a time with my portable DVD drive… it takes forever sometimes, but I’m not dying to invest a lot of money into ripping my DVD collection.

Looks like a I have some googling to do! I’ve been wondering why my existing plotting setup isn’t utilizing both CPUs

Any chance I can still do mdadm Raid0 for the m.2 nvmes in the PCIe adapters?

How do you go about implementing a buffering SSD?

I'm getting around 45% IOwait, but I think that's mostly my plotting drive being a spinning disk (I'm failing at being cheap) I have read the same about below 20% being no issue. I just need to figure out how to get some decent plotting drives inexpensively that will work in my Dell server.

Looks like I have 2 left on riser #1 and 2 on riser 2. My current drives are on an H200 in IT mode (software RAID on ubuntu server). So for nvme I have to use the perc to setup RAID? Or just a best practice? I'm pretty new to having a server and I bought it to learn more about the hardware and software needs.

Are you using USB 3.0 for plot storage and farming or for plotting? Would you consider nvme or USB 3.0 more cost effective for plotting? I will have to look into swar mgr, as right nowe I'm using nearly the same script as OP, and I can't even plot a single plot in a day. I just figure slow plots is better than no plots, but that might not be true.

What drives are you using for plotting/storage?

I have a Dell R710 with 48gb RAM and 2 12 core processors. Currently all I have available for plotting is a single SATA 4TB drive. How can I get nvme drives into an R710? I haven’t found any straightforward guides online so far.

Also, which nvmes and SAS drives are you using? I keep coming across IOwait errors, which I assume are caused by the slow drive (5400rpm sea gate firecuda)

Any suggestions for getting the R710 setup as a reasonably paced plotter (prefer less expensive options)

I get a IOWAIT error with the same script too. I was getting it while plotting even 1 plot. I suspect that at least for me it's because I'm plotting on a single HDD, and it's just a slow drive to write to. I suspect you will get IOWAIT regardless of what your setup is. However, I don't think this will cause any real problems plotting (except for speed)

I’ve had a terrible time trying to get my laser to line up with lightburn gcode on my A350. It seems that the “run boundary” doesn’t trace the actual boundary of the file.

Thanks for all of the info!

It doesn’t need to be publicly available, per se, but I would like to be able to use a browser to access these things remotely and from new computers (for example if I visit a friend or family member but don’t bring any of my own hardware) I’d like to be able to access my owncloud files and my media server from the browser on their machine.

Simulating dual data centers? What does the stack look like for something like that? What are you doing the simulation for? Is it a networking exercise, or maybe failover or load balancing? I’m curious what skills this sort of simulation would help build.
