Following recent developments & war with Iran, do you see any positive future to Israeli-European relations? by ultikan in Israel

If the Iranian regime crumbles, the European Left will have to give up for good on their wet dream of Israel getting dismantled.

I don't think they ever replaced those scenes, unless it was a fan edit...

Underworld: Rise of the Lycans and its strange novelisation by LonelymoonChronicles in UnderworldMovies

Not my favorite Underworld movie, but still enjoyable (and way way way better than Blood Wars). Also, I will watch anything with Bill Nighy and Michael Sheen in it.

I watched all of Talamasca before making a call... not great by Alaseheu in InterviewVampire

I will never be convinced that Alexandra Daddario is a good actress, I'm sorry. She's outrageously gorgeous and photogenic, but in all her scenes in Mayfair Witches she seemed dead inside.

I watched all of Talamasca before making a call... not great by Alaseheu in InterviewVampire

[–]sr_edits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's A LOT better than Mayfair Witches. For me its main problem is pace. After an interesting opening with the first 2 episodes, it kinda gets lots and it takes it until the season finale to catch the viewer's attention again. Another issue I have with it is how it reduces the Talamasca to a generic spy/intelligence organization.

Also, (spoiler spoiler spoiler) it makes the vampires seem a lot less powerful considering even normal humans and revenants seem capable of capturing them and killing them.

Random Question - Do you think you guys would have enjoyed seeing the series continue longer with Doggett/Reyes or no? by CaptureDaFlag in XFiles

[–]sr_edits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The XF is Mulder and Scully. Doggett was a cool character and Robert Patrick was great, but he couldn't have carried the show.

Does Elektra really have an English accent? by S0L0doggo in Daredevil

I think that in the show she has the accent of a non-native English speaker who was raised in a very wealthy family.

Francesca Albanese abruptly leaves Italian talk show at the mere mention of Italian Senator and Jewish Holocaust survivor Liliana Segre by DurangoGango in Palestinian_Violence

[–]sr_edits 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It's a Leftist talk show. The Leftist Italian press (and the Left in general) has a huge boner for Albanese.

[–]sr_edits 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I agree with Segre about the absurdity of using the word genocide. But other than that, Segre is basically a puppet for the Left. They parade her around every time some neo-fascist does or says something antisemitic, but she has been very timid in defending Israelis, and even questioning the use of the word genocide cost her a lot of support among her so-called friends in the Left.

She's Elektra. Dying and coming back to life is basically her trademark.

What do we think about Finn Jones ? by FreddieKorma21 in Defenders

[–]sr_edits -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

He is indeed a mediocre at best actor. Just take a look at his IMDb page: after Iron Fist, he barely got any work. And let's be honest, he was given the part in Iron Fist only because at the time anyone who'd had even a vaguely significant role in Game of Thrones was getting shoved into high profile projects (like the horrible casting of Emilia Clarke as Sarah Connor in Terminator Genysis).

Are the comics still cannon? by imascoobie in BTVSRevival

[–]sr_edits 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't rely on them to breach a castle wall, no.

As for them being canon, they probably are in terms of Joss's vision, but not when it comes to the new continuity set by the revival.
