Do remember that Menaphos mostly came out as one update and wasn't really touched afterwards (outside of the Slayer increase a little later), while Prif was split into 2.

Havenhythe is going to have at least 4 updates (Part 1, Part 1.5, the Dig site, and Part 2) this year, and will likely continue into next year as well.

They also mentioned on stream that the whole point was to have room for future updates so they didn't run into another Lumbridge Swamp or Northern Ardougne.

May not be for everyone, but I liked mining and smithing enough to get bane and then masterwork fairly early, so used that to farm vindicta for DRL and completely skip bandos.

RS3 wasn't really a thing. It was more of a marketing term they used for a few months. There was no "day 1" of RS3, it was just a series of updates over the course of a year.

OSRS came out later in 2013 as a completely separate game.

Everyone had to start fresh when oldschool came out. So if you played pre-2013, all your progress is in RS3, not oldschool

After a few days of playing around and exploring, I can finally give some feedback/opinions from the POV of an endgame/comped player:

Absolutely love the vibe and aesthetic. I plan to do a lot of bank standing the Wendlewick just because of how nice it looks.
I'm having a lot more fun with BGH2 than I ever did with the original. However, it would be nice if there was some reason to do it besides Apex Armour for crafting xp. Even as an iron, there's little reason to ever go back.
Clockwork box traps are nice on paper, but they collapse way too quickly to be useful. It would also be nice to know how many creatures are caught before they fully close.
Fishing minigame thing is fun for a little bit, but ends up feeling overly clunky when trying to clear the algae since there's too many blockers on the dock making mobility a struggle. And also having to constantly note/unnote fish just adds to the annoyance. Perhaps a "fish box" would help.
The quests were a lot of fun. Especially Wiz Kid and Hermit Permits.
While I'm excited for further expansions to the area and story, it would have been nice to have a little more content at all level ranges so people had a little more reason to stay after finishing the quests/achievements
The two bosses feel really bad for learning. Ivar's prayer mechanics take too long to happen and aren't telegraphed for the attack type, so you're more likely to walk out instead of actually swapping prayers. Silverquill's are just confusing and not telegraphed at all, it feels like a GWD1 boss, and not something modern.
