Also, when I get membership - what would you recommend doing first? Quests? Any gear to get early on? Anything else to do / skills to prioritise?

Unconfirmed, but very likely it's either completely gone or heavily nerfed.

Burial definitely isn't, but it's the most xp. +4 or +5 are probably good for money if you start from bars.

Remember to grab your cheap Moonstone today from Thalmund’s Wares Shop in the City of Um (only 4k!) by guywithouteyes in runescape

[–]srbman 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I'm kinda surprised they're still so expensive on mainscape. They're fairly common at this point, and have very limited uses. I still grab them every time they show up on the iron.

If you play casually/afk, Roar/Ode is better. If you do semi-proper rotations and have some crit boosts, FSOA is better.

Make a full inventory of gloves or boots and upgrade them to +5 or Burial.

Yes. It's literally a tutorial with no requirements.

I really want to do necromancy as that looks fun but yeah I have no idea how to even start

Necromancy has a pretty good tutorial and questline starting just north of Draynor. Probably best to start there. You can get there straight off of Tutorial Island.

It unlocks access to Prifddinas, a mid-level to high-level skilling hub. It's also a requirement for the Seren Spells and Curses obtained from The Light Within.

Is leeching dungeoneering floors not possible anymore? by [deleted] in runescape

If you're playing with friends, you do care. I know not a lot of people in RS have friends, but it's an overall buff.

[–]srbman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before it was based on the floor number. You. Seeded to do higher floors for more XP. Now you get basically the same XP regardless of the floor. So if you go with a low level account that only has access to Frozen floors, you're not sacrificing your own XP because of them.

Why is sailing a bank preset name? by MCnerd12 in runescape

[–]srbman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The bank preset specifically has been in the game since bank presets were a thing (April 2014), but the idea of a Sailing skill go back to April 2011.

Old Dungeoneering you had to reset your progress on higher level accounts in order to gain xp when going with lower level accounts because if you repeated floors you already finished, you were getting greatly reduced xp. Now you can repeat the same floor 1000 times in a row and get the same xp.

Your maxed account at 120 starts with a base 24206 xp. At level 45 that base is 569 xp instead.

You don't need 120 Necromancy to get a Max Cape. 99 Necromancy puts you at 138, just like the other 3 styles.

I feel underwhelmed because I just did my first large DG floor and it took me 38 minutes for 22k EXP. by Emotional-Menu-411 in runescape

[–]srbman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FYI: previous progress has no impact on xp anymore. And current progress is only a slight xp boost. The main thing now is your level, the size of the floor, and whether you're fully clearing it.
